Hi Everyone...this is most likely going to be our centerpiece....what does everyone think? it is from www.wanderfuls.com....

Ok, please don't think I'm rude, but honestly, I dont like it.

That being said, who cares if i dont!
If you do, totally go for it. im sure there are a lot of things im doing that others wouldn't like.

no I don't think your rude at all......we were looking for something different and it is great because it also acts as a favor for everyone at the end...it is almost half the price of flower centerpieces......

yea, I personally think floral centerpieces are too $$$. I'm going to find a plant or candle centerpience because i think it will be more in my budget.

1/2 the price is always a good thing

I'm with the other ladies on this. I'm not crazy about it.

If you like fish; here's a suggestion:.

My cousin went to a wedding and the centerpieces were fish bowls with real live Beta fish in them.
I'll try to find a picture.

i'm not a fan either. I like that it's different but i just don't get it. And i know you said it acts like a favor... but i just don't get what it is or what i would do with something like that. I would do something similar to Clarity and maybe get a plant instead of a flower centerpiece. But that's just me and it is your wedding. I was actually thinking of doing orchids... one per couple as the centerpiece/favor.

Oh i love the idea mentioned above... a bowl with a live fish in it. That's so unique!!! Love that!

Just out of curiousity... are you getting married at the aquarium?

i think they are really neat.

i might not opt to have them personally, but it's YOUR wedding. if you love them, by all means, go for it.

I don't like it at all! Is it a water/ beach theme. Why not do sand, shells and candles.

I love the idea of the really live fish centerpiece. My cousin got married at Lands End. She had tall centerpieces with sand and shells in the middle of the glass vase.

I think it's really different, but I'm not really crazy about it. That being said, if it's something you LOVE, then you should do it.

If you're just looking to save money on centerpieces though, maybe you could use glass jars, fill them with sand from the local beach, put a pillar candle inside and surround the base with seashells that you picked up from the beach, for example.

i know of someone who got married at captain bills in bay shore in there catering building right next to the resturant and for a center piece they used a very nice not big not to small fish bowl .. that actually had little fishes in it.. it was very cute and unique to say the least..

I just went to the website and although from your picture I wasn't 'getting' it....after viewing the designs closer up I think they are actually pretty cool. If you are having a casual wedding they would be perfect. Unique and fun.

see now i had the opposite view when i checked the website. I just think that you can do a lot more if money is an issue and lets face it... flowers are way too expensive. I LOVE the idea of the real fish in the bowl with maybe some candles around it and i love the hurricane vase idea with sand and some shells and a candle inside that! I'm so sorry... i just don't think that those centerpieces would be the right idea for a wedding.
