The distance I need to travel from where I'm getting ready to the church is 4 blocks. Can't fathom renting a limo. But need a respectable way to transport me, my dad, and 6 bridesmaids (and possibly 1 flower girl). Can make 2 trips. I'm thinking of renting a nice white car for the day. Would love any other suggestions! PS: My wedding is 4/26...
DH and I contemplated getting a sportscar (ie porsche, farrari, etc) to drive off in...but then realized that if we wanted to drink (even a little) we shouldn't

Re: Alternatives to limos
My church is also 4 blocks from my house, but I got a limo to take me and my dad to church and another one for the BMs because I figured that we would need the limo to take us from the church to the hall.

My friend also lived very close to the church. She walked with her parents. The bridal party was behind them with a few close family members. They also had a violinist walking with them, playing beautiful music.
There were limos waiting for everyone after the ceremony to take them to photos & the reception hall.

How about renting a Classic car, something like a 1965 Convertible Mustang or a 1962 Red Convertible Corvette?
