ok i am starting to feel very overwhelmed and go crazy right now! it suddenly hit me when i realized i have not done anything yet for my wedding, my DIY things that i will be doing (witch aren't much anyway)! all i am really doing myself is my unity candle with the monogram, i am going to attempt and try doing the votive candles as the seating place cards, my menus and programs, the LOVE letters sign for the cake table plus maybe a Mr & Mrs for the our table, and other little things i cant think of right now.. but now i am starting to freak out because there is like 10 months left for my wedding day (not a year anymore.. WOW!) and i have not started ANYTHING YET! yeahh NOTHING! =/ now i dont know if i am just getting all paranoid about this for nothing cause i still have time or if i should really get started!! ahh, is anyone feeling the same way i am or in the same boat.... prolly not!!!!!! =[
just wanted to vent and see how many brides out there have not done much yet for their day either!!
i am basically waiting for the holidays to be over to really start concentrating on my wedding planning.. dont get me wrong, we have every venue booked already except for florist.. and i already have my dress picked, will just be going next week to actually order it.. and after the holidays will get the BM, MOH and FG together to go order their dresses!!!!!!!!!!
but thats about it.. still have to look for moms dress, invitations, favors, my shoes, hair and makeup venue, bridal party gifts, parents gifts.. and all the other little things i have not yet started to look for or have a clue of yet... lol!!
just needed to vent and wonder how far you girls have gone in your wedding planning.. especially those NOVEMBER brides!!!!!! =/

yeah and my problem also is that i start adding all this and that to the have to do list and it ends up being much more than what i can actually handle and take and do myself.. lol!

don't stress it too much
our wedding is 7/11/09 and all we have is RG and ceremony booked my dress fg dress picked i'm DIYing a lot though but i still need every other vendor still and we have 7 months but i'm not really stressed about it everything will fall into place eventually

AHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I don't even have the list and addresses for my e-party in Feb let alone my wedding in 6 months!!! You are fine girlfriend!!! Your plan of waiting til after the holidays is great. I don't even have an officiant yet!!!! Enjoy the holidays and think about wedding planning after the new year!! It's almost our year baby!!!

I sooooo do not have my guest addresses together AT ALL and with exactly 5 months to go I have a guest list of 270!!!!!
Try not ot get too stressed out! It will all come together on time, I can promise you that!

you are definitely not alone! i am so glad our engagement period is only 10 months total! i was ok in the beginning, but for the last 2 or so months, i have been breaking down in tears almost nightly! FH says after the wedding he won't even know me anymore because i'll have nothing to cry about! 25 days left and then bliss.....

Don't worry. You have plenty of time.
I was looking at what you are doing and to be honest the unity candle took me about 30 minutes total and that was trying out different sizes of the monogram.
The thinkg that took the longest was the votive candles -- and you can't do them until you have finisehd your seating chart so that is seriously about two weeks before the wedding.
Here is my advise about them -- work on the templates and have it all set up. I didn't do that and that is what took FOREVER. Also, Michael's sells pre-cut lables (they have little silver hearts on the top) if you can use those. I found out about them after I bought my votives and they didn't fit the votives that I bought. Once I figured out the templates it wasn't hard just time consuming.
As for my printed stuff (programs, menus, etc.) I used Eleven18 (a LIW Vendor) Katie was amazing!

K so after reading this I feel like I should be freaking out! I'm getting married in close to 8 months so far I have my RH THATS IT!!!!!!! I've been looking for photographers but they're sooooo expensive and the ones that are not too expensive have packages that include them for the day and a high resolution disc! I just don't have the energy to deal with all the stuff that goes into weddings. Even worse I haven't even started dress shopping. I want to enjoy the experience with my mom but she seems less into it than I am. It makes me very sad...maybe thats why I haven't really started planning

I dont have a list yet either....haven't booked my photographer...laundry list of things to do Only things I actually have done are RH, church, and flowers
do you have any time off for the holidays??? get some stuff done

yeah i actually have basically 2 weeks off from work starting tuesday evening (its my last day) and i dont go back till jan 5th! the good part about working in the education field and working in a school being a pre.k teacher, you get all these days off.. hehe! :)
so i am looking foward to those 2 weeks off, and i am sure i will get a lot done! :) like my save the dates finaly sent out, haha! =P

i think its really easy to get caught up in this whole wedding madness thing ... just take a deep breath and relax! i have a little under 7 months and still have a list a mountain long to do! butttt i am giving myself goals ,.. like with the DIY projects ... i want to get one done over the christmas vaca and than the next one a month after that. if you think about all of it at once you will go nuts! just give yourself dead lines for each thing and you will get it all done!

yeah that is exactly what i am doing! i made a list of the things i still need to do and of all my DIY things! after the holidays i am going to really sit down and start doing them and giving myself goals and deadlines! i want to have it all done by the summer, so during the summer i am not stressing it and going crazy months before the wedding.. i am ordering most of my stuff and doing very few DIY things cause i am not good with crafty things and suck at it, lol.. so most of my things are being ordered and costume made and the little things i can do i will be doing myself! but even the ordering and shopping around for them on the internet and stuff gives you enough stress and the headaches! thanks for your advice and help girls.. i dont know what i would do without this site, cause still i feel sooo overwhelmed and stressed out with this wedding planning!
