FH and I have 6 appointments this weekend with photographers- beginning at 10am saturday morning, but we live in ct and will need atleast and hour and half to drive to LI if not more...so we have to leave house at like 8am grab something to eat and go!this has been planned for weeks!
Last night fh gets a phone call from friend who says, he are you going to ***'s Bachelor party? FH says, I didnt know about it...I thought the wedding was in july? friend says, no it is in june sometime, Fh says, I didnt get an invite, Friend says, oh he didnt send them out yet (WHAT HUH HELLLO apparently wedding is June 11th, how didnt they send out invites yet???)
OK- FH calls *** to say 'hi and see whats up nonchalantly and asks him to go to a soccer game) *** mentions that he is having a small wedding about 50 people... WHich FH assumed ment he was NOT invited- no big deal fine!
SO FH decides to go to bachelor party- said they werent doing anything big because *** didnt want the whole stripper/club thing
THEN today *** calls my FH and says hey, just wanted to know if you and GF were coming to my wedding? FH says, well i didnt think we were invited- we didnt get an invite..*** says, WELL YOU ARE MY BOYS AND I DIDNT THINK I NEEDED TO SEND YOU ONE....
UMMMM ok...this is odd and I told Fh that I wasnt going to go- he agrees and thinks it is weird....no biggie- we actually have something that day anyway- BUT still weird IMO
THEN- he tells me that he is STILL going to the bachelor party- limo is leaving at 10pm and they have it for 8 hours...which leaves him arriving home at 6am!!!!!!!!!
We have to be awake and alert and happy at like 7am- to be ready at 8am to be on LI meeting with vendors at 10am, then 12, then2 and then 4 then go to dinner with the family...and then go see friends...
I was really angry and kind of gave him a hard time because i already rescheduled these appointments for this weekend, they are planned and I DO NOT WANT HIM TO BE TIred, Hungover, miserable and cranky and if he comes home at 6am after a bachelor party which by the way wont be small cause THEY ARE GOING TO THE CITY- clubs whatever- IT will be a TERRIBLE weekend of seeing vendors!
He told me forget it, he wont go BUT am I being a bad FW??? be honest, i wont be offended

I think you have every right to be mad first of all you had these plans way in advance to see these vendors he just gets a phone call 2 days prior to a bachlor party and agrees to go. Hey if he goes he goes but tell him he needs to be able to function cuz you have had these plans for a while and you are not canceling at the las minute cuz that would look bad on your part so he will have to load of on coffee and you don't want to hear any of his belly aching about how tired he is or anything. Maybe he can take a cab or a train or something home earlier. Your not being a bad FW at all.

Leave it in his hands...if he wants to do both, he needs to know that he has to be a productive part of the day with the photogs...this can't be left in your lap. I bet he doesn't go.
I agree with this. he needs to realize that if he wants to party, he has to pay the piper.

SO we got into a little tiff this morning about it...again! Hey says, he wont go...but he will be upset cause he really wanted to go and they are counting on him for the limo BLAH BLAH BLAH- so I did leave it in his hands-told him if he wants go he better be happier than a pig in shi*t tomorrow and sunday for these appointments...ONe remark about being tired, or hungover, or him being cranky- will make me flip!!!!!!!!!!! SOoo, we will see what he decides...and if he does go dont worry- i will be on here Bit*hing all night (sorry in advance)

NOOOOOO WAYY!!! any bride/GF/fiance anyone would have been annyed!!! at least it sounds like FH really takes your feelings into consideration...thats a wonderful skill to have and a wonderful thing for you to know and feel good about!!!

I'd reschedule the earlier appointments, and let the FI go to the bacehlor's party.
I work in CT, and travel to LI (Bklyn specifically) everyday, and you won't need more than 45 minutes tops.

It will def take us about an hour and a half- we live in CT now, but I am from LI and it usually takes anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours... I am not going to cancel morning appointments, simply because i went through A LOT of trouble to make them to begin with...AND its hard enough to get appointments on a weekend and we are NOT able to go to LI all the time... SOOO the appointments are staying thats for sure!
well- after a long discussion over a really nice dinner, we mutually decided that he will go to bachelor party...he will take limo with the guys, but a friend is meeting them in the city who also has to be up early for work- so he is going to go home earlier with that friend who will drop him off at home..still will be like 3-4am- but it is better than 6/630am he knows that tomorrow/this weekend is important and that i am really counting on him to do his share and be JOLLY...and he knows how i feel...I am confident that he will not screw this up...but i guess i will have to have an update tomorrow to see LOL

HI ladies-
FH came home at 6am- had 1 hour sleep and has been functioning ALL day so well! I am so happy
he is taking a nap now before we go to dinner but he has been so good! He hasnt complained at all and it was a productive day because we booked DUET. i couldnt be happier! liked one, loved one, HATED one, and loved loved DUET- so we booked- so it was great!
