OK, kind of long...so I think I have been pretty calm this whole process...even when my mom tells me that my aunt and cousin will be sleeping over the night before the wedding and will be there getting ready in the morning while my 7 bridesmaids are getting their makeup done and getting dressed. So I was a little annoyed but let it slide. Now she tells me that my 18 year old girl cousin and 20 year old guy cousin will be there too...that's added onto my parents, sister, me and FSIL. That's 9 people showering, eating breakfast, taking up space while 7 other girls get makeup and dressed in big gowns. Am I being too bridezilla that i told me mom no way? I said send them to my other aunt''s house (but other relatives are already staying there). My mom says don't worry she'll make a schedule that everyone has to follow. I am so annoyed...there is no way that i will not feel stressed with all of these people (most of them, read: aunt's whole family) are annoying, and the 18 year old takes hour long showers and insits on reamining in the bathroom until she is fully dressed and made up. HELLO???? I wanted to get ready stress free with my girls and my parents!!! What should I do>?? Any good ideas??

I don't think your being bridezilla at all -I know how you feel everyday of my life - we are like 7 people living with one bathroom.. & this is the biggest day of your life.... a schedule???? I dont know about that.. I agree with everyone else maybe you should bring it up to you mom about a hotel room..... Don't Stress!!!!!!!

I dont think that you are being bridezilla at all- I thought my mom was being nutty- when she told all the relatives that they could stay with us until the day before the wedding- and then they had to go to a hotel- i thought everyone would get mad- but they didn't- my aunt, uncle, cousin and grandfather are getting tossed out- and they are totally fine with it- and believe me they dont have a lot of money to spend at a hotel- add to the fact that they are flying in from florida
if its money- see if you can find a really good friend that they can stay with or another family member. otherwise, the extended stay hotels are usually pretty cheap.

I completely understand where you are coming from and I think it's great that your aunt is taking care of this for you.
I know at my house, I will have at least 16 people staying here, and if my other uncles whole family comes you can add on another 5. We set up the rule that I get my bedroom (don't get kicked out so adults have their own room) and that we are setting a time that everyone must be out of the bathroom by. We are also setting it up so that all the kids will pretty much be in one room (wall to wall air mattresses i guess) so that the living room, kitchen, and what not will be all cleaned up and pretty :) I understand how crazy it might be with lord knows how many people there. But I know I don't get to see my mom's family that often, and I would rather them stay with us than not come. Only becuse I know it might change their plans if they had to get hotels.
ETA: Fortunately we do have 2 1/2 baths...so me and my bridesmaids will take over my mothers bathroom, (which is like the size of my bedroom.) and everyone else will have to share the other two rooms!!!

Is your mom nuts ? If she won't ask these guests to stay in a hotel, how about you ?

I say no way should they be staying there. Heck my 4 brothers went and stayed at a hotel the night before my wedding.

I was almost in the same situation. I put my foot down and said NO WAY. After explaining the whole logistics of it, they understood.

Heck no, you are not being a bridezilla. It's totally reasonable for you to want to use the space in your house. In addition to being uncomfortable and stressful for you and your BMs, but it won't be fun for them either. Why not us that second point if you run into the 'You're a bridezilla!' argument?

You are definitely not being a bridezilla with this one!
This is half the reason I decided to get ready at the hotel!!!
if you can`t get them to stay in a hotel maybe you should consider staying in one with your girls. you are in no way being bridezilla i`d be so pissed off. your mom should have seen if this was ok with you first. it may be her house but it`s YOUR day.

I tottaly agree with you. It was hectic getting ready for my sisters wedding with 8 people and 3 bathrooms. It's crazy. No offense yo your Mom- but what is she thinking. We are having my family stay in a hotel the night before the wedding, after that- we are on our HM and I don't care that they stay at the house. You will be stressed enough and should be able to enjoy your day without a bunch of people adding to the hectiness. Stick to you guns b/c no matter how 'bridezilla' it sounds - It IS your day. People should be willing to bend just a little bit for you on this day!
hmmmm-- maybe I'M a bridezilla----haha

Yeah that sounds like way too many people! Can you stay in a hotel as others suggested?

Maybe if you just mention that you might not get ready at home your mom will get the hint and ask them to go elsewhere? Who needs the stress of 88980 ppl milling around while youre getting dressed? you'll be stressed enough!

Two adjacent hotel roomjs. One for you are your maid of honor and one for the other girls. No other people aloud. You want to be able to chill out listen to music ,have a bagel, oJ coffee and get your hair and make up done in peace. I was going to do the same thing but changed my mind as more people said they were coming over my house. Got too stressful!!!!,

Re: Am I being a bridezilla? Need Advice!
explain all this to your mom NICELY.....and dont take no for an answer.....she's GOT to understand that this is going to be mayhem!!!! There's no reason why they cant stay at your aunts...if worse comes to worse, i'd pay for them to share a hotel room nearby! Either that or call them yourself and explain!(as long as it wont flip your mom out!) Good Luck!
