If Crazy = Smart, then you are Crazy! I think the earlier the better, especially if you are a picky person that knows it will that longer to find exactly what you want.

people thought i was crazy booking my hall 2 years in advance - but when i went to look at some places they date was already unavailable!!!
The Band i wanted was already booked for my date oh an oksana the makeup lady too! so i guess its better to do everything early

I am with you 100% I'm also in Nov. and we have hall, limos, officiant (almost), photo, video, flowers

thanks girls...i feel a lot better now!!! I actually already have my dress (it takes 7mths to make), photo/video, hall, limo, priest, florist, jewelry, veil, headpiece...and honestly the more I check off the list...the better I feel!!!

i guess i need to be committed then! my wedding is jan 2008 i already have my church, hall, florist, photog/video and DJ by 2007 i will have my limos and dress and probably BM dresses AND i alreayd reserved the dates with my hair and makeup BUT they told me it was too early and to confirm dec 1st ( which i will do DEC 1st, lol)
my goal is to be BORED the weeks before hte wedding btu that will never happen!

i kinda disagree.
i had everything booked long before my wedding--then changed my mind about a million things and had to re-do them!
i switched my photographer, dress, headpiece, veil, limos (needed a bigger one) and i'm sure i'm forgetting something
if i had waited a little bit and not jumped the gun, i would have realized what i REALLY wanted. besides the hall and the church, i should have waited and researched a lot more. i got a little hung up on what some LIWers recommended and went with that, instead of my own opinions.
if i could do it again, i would have waited until 9 months before

you're not crazy, you're ORGANIZED.... I am not running late, but definitely not on top of things like you are...... I know if my flowers and cake aren't booked soon, I will be turned down by the vendors I contact!

I wouldn't say your crazy!!! Why wait. But I do say wait on fitting for your dress and wait for hair trials. You want to remember what you want and so does your hair stylist. I was told to do it 1 month before. So when your co-workers are stressing about details just laugh and say who is crazy Now!!

First off, your are not crazy. Second, are they older? Such as 50's or in their 60's? The reason I ask this is b/c the older women think of how it was back in their time and they did not have to book things this quick. Times have changed.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry, I booked everything, from the reception hall, dj, florist, photo & video and limo's. This is just how it is b/c everyone books up so quick and you want who you want.
I, myself am not going for hair trials until I get my tiara. Which will be soon but I also have the benefit that my friend is my hairdresser and whenever I want it done, she will do it.
You do what you want and when you want and ignore your co-workers.
