I dont mean to be harsh....but you got a $6000 dress for $3000 BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN WORN BEFORE BY MANY PEOPLE IN THE STORE. You knew that when you bought it. Its not a big deal. I mean this is the nicest way possible -- get over it. There will be many things to stress over down the road. This is just not one of them.

yup---ditto. you got a great deal cause others have worn it before -- but hey--who cares!

this is NOT worth crying over--trust me when i say that if you are going to cry about this---you are going to have many many months of puffy eyes cause in wedding planning there are LOTS of times when you break down in tears!!!

I agree with these two posts. You bought it- its your dress now!! hey- if your FH is renting a tux, think of how many people have worn that before! You obviously got the dress because it was THE dress and a great deal. Be proud you were able to find it for such a great price!

You knew that when you bought it, but it just became more real when you saw the show.

Hey - now you can say- your dress was on tv, right? hahaha

Dont worry about it, NO ONE will know...except us and we wont tell

Thanks everyone, I feel much better this afternoon, I'm going to go ahead and plead temporary insanity. Thanks for the encouragement.

I would actually be excited if I had seen my dress. Like 'Haha sucker, that's MY dress'

But I'm weird like that

What about the rest of your clothes? I buy my clothes from the store, and I'm sure people have tried on a lot of my clothing before and decided not to buy it! (but hopefully not my underwear!)

I try on lots of clothes that I dont end up buying, and then someone else probably buys it down the road. It's not like someone wore it to their wedding -- it's still going to be worn to YOUR wedding!)

I think that is a wonderful way to put it into perspective.

I totally understand the OP's initial reaction...
Honestly there are times I get upset when i see someone wearing my favorite shirt even though I know that they made and sold more than the one i own...

but in the grand scheme of things... it's not worth getting upset over. no one will know it's a sample, let alone that someone else wore it on tv.
