Over 6k for a Sandals vacation in St. Lucia in Dec (includes air fare)?

umm, no it seems about right, sandals is expensive

I am paying $4500 for sandals to negril Jamaica, leaving December 26th for a week...
but we are not in an oceanview room...
the room you choose makes a big difference in price...
And that includes airfair for us...

actually, No. That is about what we have heard for St. Lucia Sandals as well.

I think Sandals in St Lucia and Bahamas are more expensive than the ones in Jamaica

No that's what we paid, it was 5900 last year. It is so worth it. Are you staying in one of the top rooms? I have so many tips to give ya.

We booked a regular room, thinking/hoping we will get an upgrade, we are staying in the Grande..I would like some tips too

We stayed in the Golf and Spa.
the Grande is beautiful. If I would to go back I would stay there. You have access to all 3. The shuttles run all the time. It's a 15 minute distance between them all.

*Book you resturants the first night, because they get booked quick.
*Dinner Kimono's at the Golf and Spa is awesome
*Mario's at The Hyatt was terrific!
*LaToc at the Golf and Spa is okay.
*Armando's at Golf and Spa is great.
*Tuscanni's at the Grande is Great

At the Grande the ocean is calmer then the other resorts. They have water skiiing, tubing , etc. there.
We went on the Volcano extrusion (Snorkling) it was awesome.
Also check out sandals wedbiste. I did before I went and I got a $250 spa credit and a free china (4 person). I think it might depend on the room but check it out.
Also, we go tthe 2nd top room there and when we got there they upgraded us to the top room.

it sounds about right - friends of FH went there at the end of Dec and paid $7K three years ago

How long will you be there? Are you getting one of the better rooms? I think December is an expensive month too, it would have run us about $5k if we'd done it on our own.

I can't really compare exactly, but it sounds high to me....FI & I are going to Hawaii (3 islands) for 11 nights, staying at 5 star hotels (4 nights garden view, 2 nights partial, 5 nights ocean) for around 7K, so a 5 night, middle of the road room, sounds high....JMO (No meals included...)

i dont think you are getting ripped off- the air fare for the 2 of you is very expensive and sandals is an all inclusive resort so you are treated very well and have 'suite' rooms. we are paying a similar amount for sandals st. lucia- for 9 days in november! i would say it's about right! don't worry!
