Does anybody know of someplace cheaper - which is warm (beach - cocktails)- uh HOT in Dec?? All inclusive?

This has been a NIGHTMARE! I'm embarrassed to call the travel agent AGAIN - LOL!

Re: Am I getting ripped off??

I checked Dec 3 for 5 nights here is what I got:

Sandals Halycon Beach deluxe room 3154 with insurance
Sandals Regency St. Lucia deluxe room 3508 with insurance
Sandals Grande St. Lucian deluxe room 3654 with insurance

insurance included 89 p/p

of course you have a lot of different kinds of rooms up to even 6000 per person...
I dont know maybe you checked the prices for around Christmas time, thats when they are the most expensive..

I think thats kind of high. We are going to Sandals St. Lucia, a regular room (I think its called premuim) for 4 nights and Sandals Antigua for 6 nights and a better room there. So you know its all-inclusive and including all airfare we are paying about $7500 for both of us. I booked through Liberty Travel.
And no offense to the travel agent here, but definitly call yours and make her work. We changed our minds a hundred times and I felt bad calling with all the changes, but that is what they are there for

Sandals usually has specials. Ask you travel agent if there are any

Good Luck

I was just saying that you (and other travel agents) might get annoyed when people change their minds a million times, but that is what you are there for right? I understand you were just helping, but she said she was embarassed to call hers again with more changes

Miss M-

We are going to the Dominican Republic for a week in Nov. and we are paying 3G all inclusive including airfare, a swim up suite, and jacuzzi in every room. I wanted St. Lucia so bad and it was about 5 grand, and we were going to do it when the agent suggested Secret Excellence, a new all inclusive resort in DR that she has been to several times. The truth is, it's a short flight, and it's going to be similar to the other more pricey resorts. We decided to save a few thousand dollars for a living room set or something like that. You are going to have a good time on the beach sipping on potent cocktails no matter where you go. What's most important to you? I am sure St. Lucia is amazing. But if you want to save some cash....

we are going to aruba, staying at the wyndham, and we got the all inclusive package...going for 8 days in august, we are paying just over $4000. originally we wanted to do sandals antigua, but it was just out of our budget!
very excited about aruba though!

Re: Am I getting ripped off??

It shouldn't cost that much money I would shop around. I am going in April ocean view for 7 days mine is only $5100

Re: Am I getting ripped off??

We're paying $4k for 13 days at the Radisson in Aruba in November. Does not include anything! We used airmiles for our flights!

Depends on how much your flight is. I don't know the prices of flights in Dec. However, we went to St. Lucia last summer and cost about $6k for a week at the Golf & Spa. Remember the Golf & Spa and the Grande have a Sandals rating of 10 and are more expensive then most of the others.

Re: Am I getting ripped off??

hi there

we booked the sandals grande for 8 nights for the first week of june 2005 - we are paying 3850 for the land part of the packae - we are not in the lowest room - but rather a medium room with an ocean view (no private pool) we are hoping they will upgrade us when we get there - but if they dont - -w dont care!!!

We still have to get the airfare prices but are told it will be around 1000-1200 for that

we booked this two months ago when sandals was running a 40% off sale.

if you want any more info - please let me know

jenn

I stayed at Iberostar Dominicana in Punta Cana and Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus in La Romana (as you can tell I love Iberostar hotels) but I have heard wonderful things about Secrets and would love to go to one myself because of the fact that it is for couples only I bit of advise watch out for the water so you dont get sick...
