Well the dress doesn't make the model scream 'Italian' so I doubt it will make you look too Italian. I think it's very pretty, very 'princess' like (think Cinderella). I think you will be OK. Maybe no necklace, since the bodice is so nice, but like pearl drop earrings would look really nice, I think.

If you added big ass sleeves, a huge choker, 20 bracelets, a big huge tiara, a bok bigger than you. Then ya you might look italian

This dress is gorgeous. I laughed at the topic when I first saw it and I pictured something totally different. I have a poufy dress and I feel like a Princess. You will too when you put this one on and you won't feel like a Prima Donna.

I think the dress is beautiful- very royal looking. I don't think you will look 'Too Italian'.

If you're going to look 'too' anything, yu're going to look 'TOO BEAUTIFUL'. My Italian mama used to say that only your mother loves you enough to tell you when your face is dirty. She meant that sometimes a friend will let you walk around with a dirty face so they'll look better than you. Consider your 'friend's' motive.

The gown is gorgeous! I think I know what your friend was trying to say but I don't think it applies to this dress at all. I'm Italian & when I was trying on gowns, I would think the same thing if a dress was TOO glitzy, too many appliques, etc. b/c I didn't want to look like a stereotypical New York Italian guidette bride, you know? Not to mention, we were originally planning on having a humongous bridal party (another Italian stereotype). Plus my mother & I always joke b/c she always leans towards dresses with lots of sequins & she always says it's the Italian in her. But this dress is totally not like that at all. So, I know what your friend probably meant but just because it is a full gown, doesn't translate into being 'Italian.'
