Am I invited or not???

OK, so I have a friend (not supppper close but we've been friends for years) and I was under the impression that I was invited to her wedding, got the STD, she invited me to her birthday party last week and then I realized I still have not received an invite and the wedding is on 7-10-09 I even saw on FB pictures of her shower...Soooo, do I ask anything? Do I let it go? I am a little bit

Maybe the invites are just running late. I just recieved an invite in the mail on Saturday for a 7-11 wedding. You got a STD so I assume you are invited.

Is it normal you werent invited to the shower?

I think you should ask her about it. If you got a STD, I would imagine you are invited. If not, that would not be a proper thing to do on her part...asking you to save a date and then no invite to follow?
I got some of my invites back due to the postal increase, my wedding is in July, so maybe you just didn't receive it yet. Also a girlfriend of mine in FL never got hers...mysteriously lost in the mail. I am happy she told/asked me where her invite was so I was able to send her a new one. Things like this happen...please say something to her. If you feel funny asking, refer to your STD card....it probably said, 'invite to follow' just say, I never got the invite that was supposed to follow the STD.

How many people on this site say 'its 6 weeks to the wedding and I still havent sent out invites.

If you havent gotten an invite by the first week of June, then I would ask.

Give it a little time.

Do you think she forgot? She might have had full intentions to send you an invite and just forgot. Its possible.

I'd wait a little while longer and give her a buzz to find out the situation. HTH

i definately think you should give it another week or 2 for the wedding invite. maybe ask another mutual friend if they received their invite yet?

i think its OK that you werent invited to the shower, not everyone invited to the wedding, and since you arent as close now as you once were, maybe she didnt want you to feel obligated to buy her another gift?

Where did she have her shower? The only reason Im asking is because Im having a backyard shower and I am not inviting everyone who is invited to the wedding because we didnt want it to get really expensive with all the food and there wouldnt be enough space if we invited everyone.

Yeah it was a backyard shower, from what I saw. I'm not that bummed about the shower, though, I can understand because she does have a large family.

Yeah it was a backyard shower, from what I saw. I'm not that bummed about the shower, though, I can understand because she does have a large family.

Oh so maybe thats what it was. I wouldnt be offended by that... but it is a little odd that you havent gotten an invite yet. If she sent you a STD then you should be invited to the wedding. Hopefully she gets back to you soon and lets you know why you havent gotten one yet...hopefully its just that shes sending them out a little late

i think that you are invited bc of the save the date. the shower if u arent that close than I wouldnt expect to be invited.

I would just let it go. Maybe the guest list got out of control and she had to cut people... I do think it's rude not to invite someone you sent an STD do, but you don't know what happened between the STD mailing and now. Maybe she and her FH both lost their jobs? Maybe their RH is very small and they had to cut down the invitees?

I would have expected to be invited to the bridal shower
