We didn't either. It's not really a tradition in either of our families so we never really thought about it. We just got together with some friends and had a few celebratory drinks.

We didn't have one. I just didn't think it was necessary I was excited to start planning the wedding.

we had a VERY laid back BBQ.... reason being we were together for 7 years and no one really acknowledged our engagament and i felt jipped lol

Me neither. We've been together forever so we just planned a wedding withing nine months of getting engaged.

I didnt want one but my parents did so I compromised and we had a small one at my parents house.

Nope, we didn't have one. We didn't feel it was necessary; we've been together a loooong time and are a little older than the average so we didn't do it.

We had an engagement party but only because my parents did everything for it. It was really nice to just show up to a party basically.

Didn't have one. We are getting married 6 months after getting engaged. There is no way I can plan both with family out of state... no shower for me either..
