I feel like the older I get the more my friends are I become less closer. My Birthday just passed and I felt so alone. My FI made me feel so special, but still at the end of the day I was so hurt that none of my friends(except one) called me for my birthday. I am so sad.

I think that all the time... I can count on my hand my good ones and that is all I need..

exactly!!!!! when we were younger it was quantity of freinds and now its quality of friends....if u have one good one thats alllllll u need

I'm sorry that you feel that way!!! Happy Belated birthday!!!

This year I felt kinda the same way, and I came to the realization that as we get older, our friendships can seem like they are slipping... But I also notice that those special few...the ones who have been there through thick and thin... They are the ones that even if we have not seen or spoken in months, when we do speak it feels like no time has passed.

I'm Glad that FH made you feel special though!

I have noticed that happening in my life too. Only one friend remembered my last birthday. I'm glad your FH made your birthday special for you!! Happy Belated Birthday!!!!

don't I know it, two of my closest friends are moving to separate states!! One is moving to Florida and the other is moving to Ohio!!

I guess this is just how life goes as you get older....

Yea, I know the feeling too. I felt that way when I got engaged too. Most of my friends got married 10 years ago. (I'm in my late 30's) and I made such a big deal over them and now that I'm engaged some of them didn't even call or send a card. BTW a belated Happy Birthday!!

I hear ya! I just think that people change and move on so you wind up with different interests. But at the end of the day if you have one good friend then that's all you really need! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
