Am I the only one not worrying about what to wear for my shower?

i dont care about the outfit since its going to be a surrpise....i might by a dress and give it to FMIL, FSIL, or FH so they can bring it to the party in the event that i am really underdressed - at least ill have the option to change i will however make sure to wash and blow dry my hair every friday - sunday starting in august and make sure i do not leave the house to go anywhere unless i have showered.....the day FH proposed to me i rolled out of bed and went to work without showering and washing my hair (i know it sounds gross but it was day before 4th of july and i knew i was getting out early so i figured id shower and blow out my hair when i got home) of course FH surprised me and proposed to me and all i wanted to do was take a shower! i was dirty, had dirty hair and had on the ugliest outfit, i didnt even have mascara on people! but FH warned me that his sister really wants me to be surprised - and sometimes FH and I go to breakfast on the weekend as soon as we wake up and then we shower when we get home (because i hate the smell of breakfast food in my hair and clothes so i think its a waste to shower first) but there will be NONE of that starting in august because from then on the shower could be any weekend and what if he tricks me to go to breakfast and im not showered and in my PJs!

BTW, FH did the same thing to me when he proposed. (Although I did shower that day, but I was a mess!)

Jenn, to answer your question. No, I'm not worried about my dress. I bought a dress for the summer that I like and will probably wear that one to my shower.

I am definitely not stressing over it. I want it(my shower) to be a surprise so with my luck I will be dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt. lol I would love to be dressed nice but I am highly doubting it will work out that way!

I have to say - after our talks this morning I am so cool about it - I am just going to be myself sans sweats, jeans or my dowling sweatshirt

honestly I just used it as an excuse to break the shopping ban I have had myself on since Christmas....yes that's right, I literally have not bought any clothes or shoes or anything since Christmas! So, I allowed myself 2 dresses (1 for shower, which I can also wear to work, & 1 for RD) and 1 pair of shoes....and that's it. so really it was just an excuse!

same here lol, i hardly ever shop anymore so any excuse i get i am going to go for it hahahaha. I honestly needed shoes badly too, i ruin all my shoes in about 1 month or 2 so my shoes never last long. Because of the wedding i decided not to shop unless i have to lol

i am so worried, that i asked one of my fashionista BMs to help me shop. some one posted poshgirlvintage.com and I thought i found my shower and rehearsal dinner dresses BUT all of the dresses are for skinny girls!

I am having 2 showers 1 in NY and 1 in MA (that is where FH family lives) and I dont know when either of them are so I I have not even thought about what I am wearing to them. Maybe I should tho b/c i am always in drawstrings?? LOL

i'm not worried about what i'm going to wear. My sis had to pester me for 2 weeks to get something so I went shopping one day after work and grabbed my ensemble from dress, jacket to shoes in an hour. I'm the rare one who hates shopping I guess so i'm in and out like a robbery. Came home threw it on my sis's/MOH's bed so she can bring it that day and i'm worry free lol
