Am I the only one who hasn't picked their wedding party yet?

I just don't feel like deciding who I want to be in my bridal party! I have ideas of who I will probably ask but I haven't made the effort to officially ask anyone yet. Everyone keeps asking me why I haven't yet and I just see so many of my friends and people I know who got married/are getting married and then they have drama with their bridesmaids because they picked them too early and then people drop out.

The only reason I asked my bridal party so early is bc they're all pretty much family (MOH is my best friend who I've been friends with for over 20 years her family is my 2nd family; 2 my SILs, my cousin, and another friend who is basically family). I think it's normal you're still a little less than 2 years away, no rush.

Everyone is pushy and asking why I haven't picked yet! I feel like they think I'm wrong that I want to wait. I hate that everyone has to put in their two cents.

Don't feel rushed, because bad decisions can be made under pressure, just ask my FH lol. I asked my girls because they're all family (my 2 sisters and FSIL) and my MOH is my best friend since birth. So, FH felt the need to ask his as well around the same time. Big mistake, and now he's having regret and wishing he'd picked someone else, since now he doesn't even speak to this friend anymore now that they're not working together. There's also family drama! FSIL has made some pretty poor life choices recently and has decided family doesn't mean as much as her 45 year old boyfriend (who has kids older than she is and GRANDKIDS) and tattoo conventions. SO now FH wants her out of the bridal party because he's not speaking to her!

Save yourself the drama and wait until like a year out lol

I know who I'm asking, but I've only actually told my matron of honor. I think those who I'm going to ask know I'll be asking I'm just waiting for a good time. But my FH is having groomsmen remorse, he asked one friend to be a 'man of honor' right after we were engaged and is now having issues with said friend and wants to replace him with a cousin. Basically demote the guy to a groomsmen. Sticky stuff but somehow I feel with guys this is easier lol.

I asked my MOH the night we got engaged. I wanted to do it in person and I have been friends with her since high school. My two sisters were a given and I asked my best friend out here as soon as I got back. It is nice having my bridesmaids since I get stressed super easily with all the planning a wedding since I can't meet with anyone, just do everything over the phone.

My fiance asked his groomsmen within a couple weeks of us being engaged. Most of his are friends that he's known for decades, so I understand. I only asked my sister and my best friend immediately, because I know they will always be around. So 11 groomsmen, and my bridal party is still up in the air. I will probably cap out at 7, 2 of whom will be make, lol. But in the end, no one gets offended unless you wait until a couple months before the wedding.

If it makes u feel better my fh only just asked boys last gm 2 weeks ago and we getting married in March. He couldn't decide if he wanted to all him or not.

I think you have plenty of time. You're far enough away from your wedding that, while you know who you want in your party now, things could happen and that could change. I would wait. I asked my about 10 months before my date.
