Most churches are aesthetically pleasing by themselves. It is YOUR day so if you want to decorate the church with Flinestone streamers and have a guy in a Barney Rubble costume walk you down the aisle it is totally up to YOU. So if you don't want to decorate the curch I say don't decorate it. Your peeps will have time to live out their decor fantasies when they get married.

I always preferred Barney over Fred although he seemed kind of spacey.
Toni you can use a runner if you want just make sure it isnt silk. Cloth/linen will not make a person slip!

I don't think you're wrong.... there's no right or wrong.... you don't even want flowers up at the alter though?? Dress it up just a little for your day so it doesn't look the way it looks whenever you go there for mass??? it's really your decision.

Re: Am I wrong?
Nope no way JOse not me... No decorations in the church for me. We are paying for our wedding ourselves...it seems so pointless to have the church decorated for just one hour. Thats just my opinion though... I know my cousin spent a ton of money on flowers and pew decorations... it hink its all up to what you want.

I don't think your wrong either! It's just personal taste really. For us, we are cutting back on alot of things and the Church is one such area - prob just doing bows on the pews (5-10 seems to be common!).........good luck!

Re: Am I wrong?
I haven't thought about flowers in the church yet. If we decide to decorate the church, it'll only be a little bit. Like you girls said, churches are usually beautiful without flowers anyway.

Re: Am I wrong?
the only church decor that I am doing are two white baskets in the front- i think churches are gorgeous inside without any decorations so why take away from that???

What are you using the baskets for...I assume that they will have flowers in them?
