wow, this really sux!! and is says $25 for the 2nd checked back.....i usually pack light for vaca's so hopefully i can get everything in2 2 carry on's.

I rather them just add the 15 bucks into the cost of the ticket than hand them $15 bucks. Now everyone and their mother will be carrying on their bags and theres not going to be enough room.

Yup so many people bring huge carry on bags when they really shouldnt. Its going to be so crazy!!

that is so true. i never even thought about that, & we always sit in the front of the plane, so the last to board, & there is barely any overhead space left. at least now they will put your luggage under the plane @ the gate if there is no space in the cabin.

it doesnt say that in the article

'American said it will begin charging the $15 for a first checked bag on June 15. It said it would exempt people who belong to elite levels of its frequent flyer programs, those who bought full-fare tickets and those traveling overseas. Last month, the carrier had said it will charge $25 for second checked bags.'

yeah same here...i hate it when there are sooo many people carrying their freaking oversized bags onto the plane and trying to shove them into the overhead when it clearly doesn't fit!!!

i would actually rather pay $400 for a Jetblue flight than $350 or less for an AA flight now. Stupid fuel pricing effects EVERYTHING!!!
