I just got through 3 times in a row to vote for Clay!! Yippee. Of course look at what time it is...I am glad they left the phone lines open for an extra hour. I could not get through at all earlier.

I think that Clay has an awesome voice - he has really good control. BUT he's a big nerd and as much as I wish he could win based on his voice, you gotta admit, this is about image too. Ruben may be a little chunky, but I think he's adorable. Clay needs to put on about 30 lbs of muscle and stop acting so girly.

I tried for hours last night and couldn’t get through, so I never got to vote. Oh well, I’m crossing my fingers for Clay. As much as I love Ruben and could listen to him sing all day, I have this strange affinity for Clay. Maybe it’s the 'enginerd' in me (geek speak for engineering nerd!).

I have to be honest neither one of them is the person I want to see win (wanted Kim L), but I have to say Clay was AWESOME last night!!! I agree with most of you ladies, he totally blew Ruben out of the water. Ruben was a little off.
What I don't get is, I thought he was off last night, most of you are saying it too and the judges still loved him... am I NOT hearing what they're hearing?
Clay totally deserves to win this competition, but for some reason I think that Ruben will win![]()

LOL. Sorry - I have a 'thing' against effeminate men. Not gay men, but effeminate men. And I also think he really trying too hard to come across as sincere.
Ruben on the other hand seems modest (and if he isn't then he plays it well) and I love it when he bites his bottom lip whenever someone praises him.
If Clay wins then it is a ripoff.

I think that no matter who wins the other one will get some kind of record deal too. I think Clay is going to win. If you heard what Simon said after his last song, he said that even though he was off he thought that with 'Bridge Under Troubled Water' he won the competition. Also, when it was over the crowd was louder for Clay than for Reuben. I can not wait to go see them on tour. I got tickets for the Colieusm.

My favorite was Kim and she is gone.
Last night was no a competition, it was complete BS! Rueben did not sing well at all...he was pitchy. Of course the judges praised him as they always do despite the flaws. But more importantly, he was drenched in sweat by the end of his first song. Um...how is he going to sing for two straight hours if he were to make it as a pop star?
Rueben is morbidly obese. I dont care about how he looks because lets face it, Clay is no prize to look at either ...but I dont think Reuben is 'fit' enough to make it thru one concert no less a grueling tour. He has a beautiful voice (so does Clay for that matter) but as someone said in a prior post, its not just about the voice.
My guess is that Rueben will win b/c there are a lot of homophobes in this country and Clay put out a very homesexual image persona.

I am not a big fan of any of them... Reuben was WAY pitchy last night.... What I have noticed is that when the 'favorites' are having pitch problems, no one notices....
Clay does NOT make a pop singer.. get that boy to Broadway fast... and Reuben I don't think is great either- he has a nice voice but he sings every song the same way.
Out of all of them, Kimberly was the BEST- I really liked her... and I liked the fact that she was a bigger woman... although I'm sure we'll see her famous in 2 years totally skinny.

Clay better win!! I didn't get home till 10 p.m. from work so I Watched it (my mom taped it for me) and I started to try to vote @ like 10:30 couldnt' get through for Clay but got through on the first time for Ruben----I finally was able to get through for Clay about 3 or 4 times. Clay's voice blew me away last night---if he wrote that first song-he deserves to win--WHAT TALENT---I don't know why people think he is fake--he seems so genuine to me--and why is he faggy because he is skinny & has a good relationship with his mom? That is so lame---helloo---you can't tell me Micheal Jackson made it big because of his looks & manly qualities!! lol i know u can't compare but come on!
anyway--if the audience is any indication of who will win-it will be Clay-did you hear the roar of the crowd in the end last night when ryan said ruben or Clay?? even Ruben leaned over to clay and said 'you got it man!'
