Amount of Proofs

I know it varies from photographer & also per wedding, but what is the average amount of proofs for your wedding?

Also let me know your photographer. Thanks!

I used Ferlise in Levittown. We had 335 proofs.

I'm using Mark Kauffman - he does at least 500 proofs and up to 800 - 1000. He uses two photographers and does a lot of candid work.

I used Patken and have 430 proofs, enough for me!

aside from proofs... ask them if you have to pay for extra proofs....i know Mark Kaufman said you had to pay for each proof over the 500... that added upto a few hundred...

yep - you do have to pay for the proofs over 500 - and of course you're paying for the first 500 - just in advance :) And there may be different size proofs - Mark has two sizes.

we're having a small party - hopefully around 75-85 people, and are only having one photographer for the last couple of hours.

definately find out exactly what is covered - Mark itemized everything for us.

I used Imagine & they said definatley 300 proofs but if they see more photo ops they'll take more. We got 600 proofs!!

we paid for 500, and wound up with 950!!!! My photographer took alot of photojournalist shots..and cut us a deal for the additional proofs. during the wedding he told me that he was going to go over..and I told him to keep shooting....Why have him miss something?
and they're all 4x6! perfect for framing!!!

we're using Ed Collins Photography & we get 450-600 proofs

We got at least 800 proofs. I still look threw them and say oh I never saw that one before lol.

My photographer guarantees I think 275, but they said he normally goes way over, and if he does.,.it isnt extra. YEA!!

We contracted for 500 minimum and no additional charge beyond that. We ended up with 900+ proof pictures. We used VIP Studios and had 2 photographers.

Contractual mine said 400. I think it varies on what youre looking for too...

Side note.. I thought Mark was reeeeeeeeally pushy.. totally turned off. JMO, though...

I think the standard # of proofs is about 400, and more if you're using a photojournalistic photographer...

I have never heard of being charged for anything more than they shoot Lia/Imagine Studios guarantee you 300, but we got over 600, I don't know what to do with them, I have given away a lot. We get our negative and all our proofs. NO extra charge for anything over the guaranteed # Imagine Studios
