IF they're in Islip, that's where I'm getting my dress from. Well, my dress is already there. I'm just waiting until August to wear it! LOL They are extremely nice, and their quality of work is excellent.

I haven't had any alterations yet. My dress came in, in 6 weeks. I have a different situation though. I live in NC. We were only going to be up in NY a couple of times more before the wedding... Christmas was one of those times. Anyway, I told them when I'd be up there, and they placed the order from the manufacturer, and said to them that it's a rush order for a New Year's Eve wedding. So, in 6 weeks it came in. Now, I looked everywhere for a gown down here. I didn't like anything. I saw a picture of this one gown and really liked it. It has platinum in it, and my fiance's vest and bowtie is platinum, so I thought it would match really good. I told Angel Bridals that I liked this dress, but I'm not sure if I'd like it after I try it on. Well, they told me if I don't like it, they'll keep it as a Sample, and then use the money towards another dress. They were so accomodating. I can't believe they did all this for me. They didn't charge me a rush fee either! So, the dress came in the day of my appointment with them. (Good timing, definitely meant to be!) I tried it on, and I loved it! That was in December so it was at least 8 months before the wedding. It's been there ever since. I'm not getting alterations done until July. A month before the wedding. That's the next time we'll be up there. They also said if there are any last minute alterations, it would not be a problem. I can't wait!!!

I saw the photo of your dress. It's beautiful!! It's so funny you said 'meant to be' I had the same experience in how I wound up at the shop in the first place. What you said about them keeping it as a sample is exactly what I would expect from them. They are like your fairy godmothers!!! How did you like the dress when you tried it on?

I loved the dress when I tried it on. It fit perfectly. Well, besides it being a size too big. We ordered it a little bigger just in case.
