Ann Taylor dresses

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of choosing one of the Ann Taylor dresses 'Diana' in balck for my bridesmaids. I was wondering if anyone got their bridesmaid dresses from Ann taylor and if you have any pictures, also if you have any feed back on the whole ordering process.

What do you gys think of the dress? It is a summer black and white wedding with a Latin flair. The girls will be carrying red gerbera daisys and have a few in their hair!

I had considered them at one point but some of my BM are plus sized so It didn't work out..but they are very nice!

my girls had ann taylor dresses. but we went directly to the ann taylor in the city so that they could try them on and purchased them right there. they had GREAT service at the store.

two girls had to do nothing else to the dress (ie no alterations at all). one had to just have the hem taken in. my moh had to get serious alterations b/c she has huge bosoms, so she had to get a size about 2 size bigger to fit her top.

we loved the dresses and two of them have worn the dress again since the wedding.

Now that hopefully they have their act together and since no one else seemed to have as hard a time w/ it as we did, I'd say go for it...I have to admit that I didn't LOVE them as much in person as I did on the website so I really reccomend trying them on first if at all possible but in the end they looked great on everyone (in a range of heights and sizes), they were still pretty and elegegant w/out some of the stuffiness of the other BM dresses that we tried on and it was so easy that most of them didn't need alterations...

I love the dress because it's so simple and they can wear it again. My girls will be wearing these in September in black with the garnet red sash. Some of the girls ordered them over the internet or phone, and a few went to the store to buy them. What I loved most is that they can return or exchange the dresses at any time as long as they don't take the tags off - which is huge if one of your girls loses or gains a lot of weight, or if someone drops out. The other great thing is that people can order from all different stores, different times, etc ... and not worry about the dye lots.

Oh, the other great thing is that they can use Ann Taylor discount coupons AND the discount applied when they apply for an AT card, so one of my girls actually got 40% off because the store in CT was offering 20% off to sign up for a card, and she had a 20% off coupon. They turned out to be the least expensive BM dress for all of my girls, and they'll actually wear it again.

Basically I asked them to order them by the end of 2006, but at their own discretion. If any of them didn't get the dress and it was discontinued it was on them to find it - I know that's not necessarily the nicest thing, but I have too many other things going on. However, the Diana dress is a staple dress, and black is a staple color so the odds of it going out of stock are slim. They usually replenish the stock quickly.
