soooo FH's best friend got engaged in august- 3 months before us
they didnt do anyyy wedding planning until January they are planning to get married at Atlantis
so i dont talk to the girl at all, except when we double date, we went on vaca with them in January- at the Atlantis
I TOLLLDDDDD them that FH & I were planning for an april 2011 wedding
(this is our plan if we dont go thru with the show and get married this july- they do not know about the show tho)
this BIATCH!!!!!! tells FH the other day that they are planning for april 2011 wedding!!!!! IN ATLANTIS BAHAMAS!!!!!!!!!
like is she for real????
she would expect us to go to the bahamas a week or 2 weeks or 3 weeks before our wedding?
not only that but stay at the atlantis??? ANDDDD her guests have to stay at the one and only resort- which is THE MOST expensive resort there...im talking 1k/night
is this not ridiculous??

ummm hello thats a couple grand we have to spend right before our wedding...we are going to be crazy with last minute things...not the time for a vaca!
im trying not to get too upset, bc i dont have a date yet and anything could happen- plus i very well may be getting married this july
but stillllllll she doesnt know that...UGH just needed to vent to some girls who would understand

Find out when they book their date and book yours 2 weeks in advance. That's what someone did to me!

this is annoying...especially since they knew you were getting married around the same time.
and not for nothing, expecting any of your guests to pay that much for a wedding hotel is ridiculous and leaving 2 weeks before my own wedding would not be an option for me, especially if i had to spend that much right before my own wedding - i need that money fo rmy own wedding!!!

Some people just don't get it! My SIL did that when she got married. My parents had asked them to not have their wedding in 2001 because it was my sister's 21st bday, my HS graduation, and their 25 year anniversary- all in 3 months time! But she went along with it anyway, and complains to this day that we weren't involved enough...if she had only pushed it out, we would've had more time!

That *****! We all plan our weddings for the dates and times that work for us, and the most important people in our lives. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out well for other people. I'd ask her why she's having it then, and tell her you really don't think you will be able to go since it's so much money so close to your own wedding. When she starts getting feedback from people about how they can't go due to the cost, she'll likely change it.
