Annoyed

Sooooooooooo I just found out tonight that my flower girl can NOT throw flowers at our wedding. We already made sure to order a basket and flowers for her to throw through our florist. What is she supposed to do/ hold while walking down the aisle if she cant throw flowers? Im annoyed- I was looking forward to this... yes pathetic, but I was lol

Maybe you can have her hold a kissing ball and maybe either add another flowergirl or already have the petals on the aisle when you walk down.

Yep, church rules.... ughhhh it s ucks! I dont know what she should do now... its prob going to be awkward for her to just walk down doing nothing lol ughhhhhhhhhhh

Mine can't either!!! I ordered a beautiful basket for my girls and then I just bought fake flowers to put in it as a bouquet type thing. I am not a fan of fake flowers, but it honestly doesnt look bad.

I know it ***** and I was not happy about it either, but you can always have her have a flower ball to hold.

my FG had a kissing ball, that would work. It was with peonies and looked pretty

You could still have her hold the flowers in the basket walking down the aisle and just use it later on to throw up in the air outside the church in celebratory fashion.

Sorry you're disappointed but you'll figure it out and it will be beautiful!

i doubt the church would let her let the FG blow bubbles....its a disaster waiting to happen..

i think that the kissing ball idea is terrific.

Why don't you give her an extra ribbon wand to wave, to tie that whole theme together?

I was very surprised about this too. Not to mention, the woman said it was b/c there was no one to clean it up. I turned to FH and said our 'donation' fee includes cleanup service - that's what it says in the booklets. So why the H E L L am I paying extra for cleanup??????

OMGGGG does it really say our donation includes a cleanup fee?? Ohhhh and did you notice that donations 4 months ago was $400, but last night she said $425!!! When did that go up? lol

I knowwwww I was so tired of going... after working all day, the last thing I wanted to do was to sit there until 9:30pm.

When I see my florist in June, Im going to ask him if he can add a kissing ball on there. My poor flower girl was practicing how to throw flowers lol shes so cute! I dont know how Im going to break the news to her lol

I never heard it was $400. When we first met with Father Robert he told us $425. So that wasn't a surprise to me. I just went to look through a booklet that he gave us and it says the offering includes 'maintenance costs' for the church. And I can swear he told us personally that it includes cleanup fees.

Oh well, better to find out now rather than the day of right????

I'm sure you're flower girl will get over it

EEEeeeekkkkkkkkk! I HATE when churches have these stupid stupid stupid rules!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope this doesn't happen with my church.

The dumbest rule is not allowing the flower girl to throw flowers. Heck I would even offer to sweep the petal up myself in my gown! Just to show them it's not really that big of a deal!

Our church said no to the flower throwing too.. I ordered her a mini bo-k.. i am thinking of making her a jr bm anyhow, she is 8 years old i feel like thats too old to be a flower girl.

Really though... what would they do if she threw them anyway? Would they really just stop the whole ceremony?
