Re: annoyed
i have the same issue...a family friend who i almost never talk to said she can't wait to come to the wedding...like, really? my guest list is already 300!!! im so irritated at people im being forced to invite who i don't even know, like super super distant relatives or whatever...i haven't been able to do ANYTHING since we got engaged because of the cost of this wedding...sigh...

Re: annoyed
I know what you mean....a co-worker of mine said to me the other day, 'I better be invited'...I was like thanks for putting me on spot and sorry I'm not inviting people from work. People can be so rude!

Re: annoyed
I was just worrying about this! I'm not as worried about people who assume they'll be invited -- but there are people we're inviting but not with a 'plus one' and I don't know how we'll respond other than, sorry it's a small wedding and we have a budget...

I didn't really have that problem, luckily. Though I feel that some people may be thinking it and not saying it.

Ughhh I hate this. I have the exact same problem with distant relatives I dont even talk to and some co-workers. I'm staying firm and not givng them any details.

Ha! I got one better, when I informed a friend that I had just gotten engaged she asked what color was she wearing. Until that moment I had no intentions of putting her in my bridal party.

I told her lavender since she put me on the spot I put her in it. It turned out good she's been a huge help

I couldn't agree more.....I just got engaged, haven't even set a date / hall yet and people (that I'm not even close with) already are telling me they can't wait to come to my wedding.
