Annoyed! Shouldn't a liquor store employee know that BRANDY and BOURBON are NOT the same thing????

I needed a little bottle for a recipe and I asked for bourbon, she gave me brandy and I said, 'are they the same? I said bourbon' and she was all YEAH!

Well, they are NOT the same Now I have to go back and exchange

She's re-living her liquid lunch days

Ribs and brandy....not sure that'll work. I guess it depends on how much you're using. Knowing Emeril though, you'll probably be using the whole bottle! So I'd say go back to the liquor store and throw that mini brandy in the bizatch's face, then get your Maker's Mark and run!

or you could keep the brandy and make chocolate mousse instead.

Or you could get a gallon of bourbon and make some ribs and then have enough left over for mint juleps.

wow- that's is a pretty big differnce/

Brandy is made from fruit & Bourbon is made from grain-- it is a type of wiskey. You could probably subsitute Jack Daniels in the recipe ( not a burbon, but a similiar type of wiskey)

If someone else is there when you go back, you should let them know what happened.

Well, I guess I have to go back, if the brandy doesn't sound like it'll work, I'm guessing the other liquor in the house (vodka or watermelon schnapps), won't do the trick either!
