Annoyed with my BM's

The one and only thing I've asked my BM's to do was help me stuff invites. Really...nothing else. And at first I thought maybe it was inappropriate to ask, but then my friend at work was actually the one who suggested it. After all, isn't one of the purposes of BM's to help?

All - with the exception of one - turned down my request for help. And some of the excuses really stink...'I want to hang out with my boyfriend.' I was only asking for a hour or two of their time and actually thought it would be kind of fun for everyone to get together...I was going to buy lunch for everyone. But now I'm really a bit disappointed by the lack of help and lame excuses. Am I wrong? Please be honest.

Like other people have posted here. We find the true color of your friends and family when you need them.

actually, the one who told me she wanted to hang out with her boyfriend is REALLY getting on my nerves...almost to the point where I think I'm sorry I asked her.

A few months ago when we were looking at bridesmaid dresses for a mutual friend whose wedding we're both in, I made a comment about how I felt badly that my opinion wasn't taken into consideration while everyone elses was. That was said in confidence and it wasn't a huge deal, just how I was feeling at the moment. She told the bride!!!! AND twisted the story a bit...the bride got mad at me and I never even knew it!

Aww I'm sorry! I would be upset and hurt too. Like someone else said, it is times like these we find out who our true friends are.
