It's Friday and my boss lied and said he was going away with his family but his son called to ask where his Daddy was. Hmmmm I wonder if he meant to say golfing or something...

I am now in a bad mood and want to start a pet peeves thread.

I was reminded of this one today. When you pull up to a fast-food place; the drive thru line is way to long, and there's some jerk with enough space for another car to fit and just won't move up. Dude, we're all their to get food, so MOVE.

Also, when you are getting your nails done and those little asian ladies are speaking KOREAN in front of you! WHAT ARE YOU SAYING ABOUT ME, LADY!????!!!

Ok...just thought of another one (this happened today)

When the cashier gives you back your loose change ON TOP of the bills and it goes falling everywhere!
AND...then they yell out NEXT! and you are still trying to pick up loose change, open your wallet with one hand and pick up all your grocery bags with the other and they start ringing and the other person's food is piling up on top of your bags!

and i really, really, really hate litering...

but my most favorite pet peeve...OH IT MAKES ME SOOO MAD---> I hate when people call me and say: 'Hi, it's me'

Ooohhh... I thought of another one... this makes me absolutely nuts. You are standing in line -- you know a STRAIGHT line, like they taught us in KINDERGARTEN? Yeah well, I can't stand those sidlers... those people that refuse to stand BEHIND you in line and instead stand right NEXT to you, maybe even a TAD in FRONT of you so you feel like they are just about to cut in front the WHOLE time you are online... grrrrrr.... makes me insane!! IT'S CALLED A LINE FOR A REASON PEOPLE!

this happened the other day when we were food shopping!!! I was so annoyed!!! I went on a 5 minute tangent wfter we left the store about how annoying it is......I think Tom's pet peeve might be my tendency to go off on trangents for no reason

I know someone mentioned this before but I truly HATE it when someone pulls out in front of me when there aren't any cars behind me and I then have to brake. Cant stand that!!!

Lately I'm finding that when I am a customer in an establishment (could be anything from a stationary store to a pizzeria) and kids (teens) are running the counter and they can't be bothered with you. Oooh that's burns me up!!!

I thought of two others...

It annoys me when people don't type the whole word and say things like
I am going 2 b late or How r u or I 8 dinner.
(no offence to people here that do that)

Paying a small fortune to go to the movies and then have to sit through not only previews and the courtesy films but actual commercials!

and I am SO SORRY b/c I know a lot of people who do this,...but when people say AKS instead of ASK. ...

Oh no... I never thought it would annoy anyone. I do it all the time for added exercise. It's not as if you can find a staircase in department stores. Please explain why this is bothersome.

I agree Nesiepie, I hate this too!

Or people who refuse to hold a door, or say thank you when you do. What about people who don't say you're welcome when you say thank you?

I'm sure they've been mentioned, but two of my biggest pet peeves are:

1) People that point with their middle finger and

2) People that add an 'r' to the word idea, making it idear.

working in manhattan, I have a few:
- people who ride bikes on the sidewalk
- tourists that don't know when everyone is walking and traffic is flowing, YOU CAN'T JUST DEAD STOP and stand there on a street corner or the top of an escalator!
- people in front of you in line who insist on taking 20 minutes to find the exact change in their purse

How about when people talk REALLY loud on their cell phones or just talk loud in general when your in a quiet place.

The cell phone one is the rudest! I work in my husband's store and I actually had a customer who talked the entire time she was trying on shoes. After I brought her several styles, she didn't even stop her conversation long enough to say 'no, but thank you'.

I could go on and on about what we see in a shoe store. Women walk in with soiled or even wet feet from the rain, and have to be told to use peds!
