We have a few family and friends that have not RSVP-ed yet. They still have another 2 weeks to do so, but because we wanted to send out the B list this week we emailed and called a few people to try to get a feel for their responses. Most people were totally understanding, and said 'of course we are coming, I forget to send you the card!'. But I have 4 family members that won't even return my mom's phone call, and a set of friends who tell us they aren't sure they can come because they 'might' be planning a trip that weekend (even though they got our STD months ago!), and another quasi-response that she will come UNLESS her family decides to do something else that weekend (seriously? my wedding that you have known about for about 8 months might be trumped by some last minute casusal family thing?).
Grrrrrr.

I really dont want to deal with this, this might be the hardest part of wedding planning. Sorry you are going through this but just remember the important people will be there.

I swear, if I get any responses like that I'm totally un-inviting them. If you're waiting for a better offer than my WEDDING than obviously you're not a friend of mine. And family that does that can $uck it too, as far as I'm concerned.
tell me about it..i still have time but if you look to the left at my numbers...i have a bunch more to go as well! JEEZ...i mean...when you get the damn thing in the mail..you know if you're going or not right...just send the friggin thing back to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to, but unlike most people we have an unusual problem -- we have a maximum! Our room only holds up to 80 people so we actually can't go over. And it really only holds 75, but the RH is going to squish them in.

I just posted this, not sure if you read it but maybe it can help: I have already anticipated those stupid responses ( Not sure if I can come, I might come, etc.) and have decided that my answer will be the following NO matter who it is: (And this will actually prevent any drama)
'Oh ok, well how about we do this, I will put you down as a no for now. If something should change the week of the wedding, you give me a call and im sure we could figure something out. ok, no problem babe! TTYL ' .
... and then should they have the nerve to call me back a week before the wedding i will either 1) Not pick up my phone (I am soooo busy) or 2) kindly say 'Oh, I am so sorry but my room capacity is maxed out and my hall will kill me if I add another person. Aww... Wish you could be there but you will be there in mind and spirit ! TTYL '
I am too blessed to be stressed. The hell with them.

Re: Annoying RSVPs! Vent
People are so annoying about this. I have an uncle who still hasnt responded and when my grandma asked him if he was coming he was asking what the place was like and what the hotel is like. Does it matter where I am getting married??? Its so rude. So, he still never called or sent back the card and neither has his two adult kids. I really hope at this point that they dont show up at the wedding cause I really dont want them there!
