Another bad experience, a story!

Yesterday, I went to pick up a bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding in two weeks. Well, the salon I went to could not have been more rude. I had called ahead and asked if I needed an appointment to pick up the dress ( I was'nt having my fittings done there because my brother in-law is a tailor) The girl on the phone told me very nicely that that would not be a problem and to come on down. So I get there and I am literally standing there for 10 MINUTES with the girls ignoring me. Finally one asks me in a snotty tone ' Can I help you?' I go on to explain why I am there and the girl cuts me off and says 'If you don't have an appointment you can't pick up the dress' I told her that when I called they said to come right down and she says to me' Well I find that very hard to believe!!!' I could'nt believe it, I was shocked but I said fine I will make an appointment to come back tomorrow (Sunday). She says ' No, I don't think so we do not do pick ups on Sunday' So long story short (too late) I made an appointment to pick up my dress on Monday evening and as I am going out the door they yell 'By the way final pick up is cash!!!!' I am sorry to vent like this but I could not believe the nerve! You know, us brides go into to these places looking to spend in some cases thousands of dollars and you get treated like a piece of garbage. I have 9 bridemaids in my wedding and this place is one of the few places that carry the dress but I will be ****ed if I ever go back there again. They just lost at least $2000 worth of business. Sorry to vent ladies....but it really rubs me the wrong way

omg how rude i agree, brides go in there to spend a lot of money, you would think they'd be a little nicer. i'm sorry you had to deal with that.

That is horrible! It is inexcusable for them to treat you that way!!

It really irks me how some bridal salons can be so rude...it's such a shame.

I'd suggest you tell them just what yoou told us!!! But, wait 'til after you've picked up your dress.

Please FM the name of the salon. I'm sorry you are having all this trouble. I don't understand why its so hard to order a dress and have it ready then you say you will.

I wish you'd post the name of the place. I know FM works and all that, but I think this is a place for us to learn and share experience. If I had to go there, at least Id be prewarned and prepared. If I ended up having a different experience than you, great, if not, well I was warned, ya know?

We need to share the bad as much as the good here.

I had the same experience with my SIL's wedding, they were rude, the seamstresses were horible, I ahd to ahve 4 fittings, for a hem,a dn they had to take in the top, and sew the hook back on teh skirt, it was held on by one thread. THe seamstress also tol me i didn't need a hem, when i was stepping on the dress, and then started talking about me in italian. They lost my business when m wedding came!!
