Either one is gorgeous, but my advice, after sending away for a gazillion samples, is DO NOT order anything until you have a physical sample of it in your hands. It doesn't have to have your wording of course, but just so you can feel the paper, see the ink, etc. You have no idea how many invites I saw online that I fell in love with and was convinced they'd be gorgeous in person and they were awful....and you and I have talked about paper quality and stuff so I know you know what I mean. If you love the boxed one more, and you get a physical sample and still love it, then go for it!
Out of curiousity, how are boxed invites addressed? Would you just have Wendy address a shipping label nicely or do you put the box inside a padded envelope?? How does it work?
good question lol, i wonder if she can do it on the box...im going to check what the other LIW bride did with her boxed invites, i think she also had calligraphy. I didnt even think of a padded envelope
Well if the calligraphy can be done on the box, she'll find a way. When she did my envelopes she sent me one envelope of mine showing one name written out in all the different markers she has so i could see how she chose the one she ended up using. Depending on the paper type (or in your case box type) some of them bled or showed up darker or lighter than others. But liked that she showed me how they all looked on my envelope paper and how she chose.
ok thank you good to know...And she got them back to you fast if i remember correctly. I think you said about a week
yup.

Re: another invitation question
The lady emailed me back and said that yes she is going to send a sample, and infact said she suggests i see the sample if i am going to order that many invites and spending money on them before even ordering. So she said within 2 days i should have my sample. She said just the proofs will be emailed to me to save on time.

I would email that picture to Wendy so she can see too. This way she has an idea of how you want it.

wow i didn't know you didn't order them yet! here i am freaking out as well but i picked mine i'm just too lazy to call them.
i really like the new one. I would just agree with the others and see if they can overnight you the sample so you can see the quality.
oh so they didnt put your order through yet? but she told you it would take 2 weeks for yours right?
they did say 2 weeks but i haven't even ordered them yet - I'm going to call at 9 am tomorrow when they open.
so i guess i'm dumb but I don't get how boxed invites are diffferent? is the invite in a box, on a box, or something like that?

Re: another invitation question
glad you're going to get a physical sample first - but otherwise I think the new invites are gorgeous and yeah if you can save a few $ and some stress from the timing of it all, then why not.

well good luck, you should get it in time though if she said 2 weeks, gives you enough time to send out
The invite is in a box instead of in an envelope. So the invite itself with the ribbon and everything will be placed inside the box and mailed that way. If you look at the first pic you can see how the invite is set inside the box.

The invite in the box is absolutely gorgeous! But I know what you mean about wanting to see the proof in person. Honestly, I would probably be okay with her e-mailing me the proof because I just fell in love! lol

the proof i dont mind if its emailed to me, if i see a sample before and know what it looks like and feel the texture of the paper and see the size and everything then just the wording for my invite ill know how it looks just by it being emailed to me. I mean she would mail me the proof but she suggested this since i said i dont have alot of time and this way to get it quicker

Re: another invitation question
honestly, i like the second invite better
the other sounds like a good deal, but it's not your first choice, does that make sense.? are you choosing them cause they arrive quicker and you save money or cause you love them the way you love the others
if you choose the first invite, which are pretty BTW, it's not a big deal to do everything over email, i did mine this way and it worked out fine.

well i JUST found the boxed invite so its not that its not my first choice is that i saw the green ones a long time ago and the boxed invite in the first pic i just saw last night for the first time. I love them though and would be 100% happy with them. The fact that she can get them to me quick is definitely a bonus.
Well i get the sample of the first invite in 2 days and then once i get the sample and if like it in person just as much i will place an order ASAP and she will expedite the order
