Another MIL Update
Hopefully this will be the last!
She will be coming home!!! After a family meeting with the Nursing Home Jerry and I decided that she will be better off home with 24/7 care. They told us that if MIL stayed in the nursing home she would have to participate in activities- they wont be doing PT with her anymore amongst other things that we didnt like. MIL needs to be pushed to keep doing her PT and exercises otherwise she will end up in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. So after a major discussions we decided to have 24 hr care in the house. We have alot to do by Nov 5 to get ready for her but at least she will be home with us.
Just FYI for anyone in the future that needs to put someone in a short term rehab or a nursing home- Make sure you go all the time to watch what is going on. We had 4 different incidents where MIL didnt have her oxygen on or it was turned down. If we werent there to watch MIl would have had big problems. There were other things that went on but i dont want to make this any longer than it is
