We all have busy lives and budgets, but I'm wondering - how involved was your bridal party in paying/coordinating your shower?

Not at all. It's ok, though. Well, I shouldn't say that completely. My sister is my MOH, and she got married two months before my wedding, so we planned our weddings together practically. Other than that, no one was involved. But it's ok, she's all I needed

My MOH was excellent considering she lives in San Diego! My mom & aunts did a lot for the shower sicne they are on LI, but my cousin emailed DH for the guest list, made & sent out the invitations ( had my mom be the rsvopcontact), & she bought soem of the decorations & made me a bridal hat ( her DH & dad hlped) She even got my coursage when she got to NY. THen she wnet to the restauant early to decorate. My other BM was only 16 & in the process of moving from NJ to MA. so just helped decorate the day of & her mom helped pay.
My mom, 3 aunts & cousin payed for the shower I believe. I just had my 2 cousins in my wedding.
My cousin & I emailed back & forth a lot about dreses & hair & accessories & my MOH called a few times to see how I was coping.

although I am not sure, I think my MOH (sister) and mother are the only two really involved in the whole shower planning thing which I don't really mind. I am having 6 bridesmaids with COMPLETELY different perspective on things and my mom and sister know me the best out of everyone. I really think that if they needed ANYTHING my bridal party would step up and help in any way they could, but I don't think there is an expectation that they help plan and it doesn't bother me at all. I know when I was in bridal parties, life seems to just take you full force and although you don't mean to be a distant BM, sometimes you can't help it :)

I know my MOH (aunt) is planning even though she is pregnant and will be 8 or 9 months by the time my shower comes around.
I don't know about the 2 of the BMs but if they don't do anything and FH finds out about it he is going to flip as I was there and helping all of them along the way.
The other 2, one lives in CA, so I can't expect her to help too much and the other one is my cousin who is probably helping my family in planning but I don't know.

My BP had absolutely zero input and did not chip in. Neither did anyone else. My MOH paid for and planned everything herself, my DH helped keep it from me.
