I know for invites when someone lost their husband their invite still said like Mrs. Patrick Barrett. For the seating cards does the same rules apply or should it say Mrs. Lyle Barrett?

MS. and not MRS...and with their first name

I personally think it should still say Mrs., though I guess it would really depend on the person's preference. I would never refer to my FMIL whose husband died) as anything other than Mrs. Smith. She still wears her wedding ring....

I still refer to my mom as Mrs. Her name, even though my did passed over 20 years ago.

Hmmm. I didn't come across that situation when I did my invites. I would guess you would do Mrs. Her Name. I know you always stay Mrs unless you are divorced but I'm not really sure about the rest.
