Just curious as to what people are doing with their wedding bands?
I thought you each payed for it separately (he buys yours-you buy his).
I feel really guilty since he's getting the raw end of the deal. My ring is at least 4 times more than his. I wanted something less expensive but I can't find anything I like.
I was debating on splitting the cost with him. Would that be wrong?

I feel bad too. So I told him instead of spending hundreds on me for Christmas to just buy me my ring

Yeah thats kinda how we're getting it. His cousin is a jeweler in the MA area. That's where he got my E-ring. We talked to them while we were up there visiting and they gave us a good price on the bands but its still We want to get them at the same place since we figure its easier. Plus, we'll save on tax since we'll be doing it as mail order.
I think i'll tell him we should split the costs.

Re: Another wedding band question
I am getting two bands. My eternity band is my wedding gift from my FH so he is buying it.
Our 'matching bands' are coming out of the Wedding fund.

Re: Another wedding band question
it's coming out of our wedding budget. my ring will also be about 4x more than his, so it's fair this way. we actually didn't think about any other way of doing it.

Re: Another wedding band question
we don't have 'my' money and 'his' money... we put them both on our joint credit card... but, our rings also cost the same...I didn't want one with stones or anything, because I couldn't see spending a lot of money on a peice of jewelry when we were already putting so much into the wedding. So, we both just have white gold bands.

that is a good idea - i think i am going to get an eternity band and the one i want will probably be pretty expensive..... originally we were just both going to chip in for the rings since we consider everything to be our money but technically i would be chipping in for my band - since its going to be substantially more than FH's..... but since i am planning on getting FH a Breitling watch as a wedding gift - i can tell him to get me the band as his wedding gift to me - which would probably save him $$ since he doesnt have to pay for a majority of the rings AND for a wedding gift.

I don't know - our mindset now is 'our' money. But it will go on his CC for miles purposes.
