Another Westbury Manor question...

...what cocktail area goes with what room? It looks like the far one that is closer to Jericho has a path that leads it to the Manor Rm and the near one is right outside the Garden Rm. Is this the setup?

If you are having your cocktail hour inside, they set up the room that's in the back right next to the entrace to the gardens and they use the library on the left as well - stations are set up in both rooms.

I'm in the Garden Rm and we were told that the cocktail hour would be outside or in the Executive Suite if it rained.

Edited to say: What outdoor coctail circle goes with what room? Or do I have the whole thing?

juilet- you are correct, I am having my reception in the Manor Room so that's where those cocktail hours are held - i am crossing my fingers for good weather too since i am hoping to have my cocktail hour outside!

We have the Manor Room and our cocktail hour (weather permitting) will be the large area by the waterfall.

That was what I was wondering. Does each room get a circle? I.e. Manor Rm gets the fountain and garden room gets the one closer to Jericho? Or does it all depend on what you want?

If you have the Manor Room (like me) if it is nice outside the cocktail hour is outside by the water fountain. The other party I believe is by the gazebo? If it rains (hope not) my cocktail hour is in the room right across from the library. Wheter it is inside or outside the library is open for my guests to sit in if they wish. I think if you have the smaller room maybe your cocktail hour is upstairs??

I don't think we (same room here) have the whole thing...it was the one with the built in bar -- or do they all have the built in bar? I need to go back and visit it b/c I don't remember anymore. But if it rains, I'm supposed to have my cocktail hour in the polo room and my ceremony in the manor room -- once again, I *think*.

I think they both have the built in bar, but one has the fountain and one is set further back. Logically, I would think the Garden Rm would use the one with the fountain because it is located right near the room and the back area has a path that leads to the Manor Rm, but you never do know how they do things. They both looked the same size to me. Also, what difference would it make since the other cocktail hour would go on before mine.

if it rains our cocktail hour is in the conservatory. Our reception is in the manor room.. hopefully its nice cuz i always wanted an outdoor wedding!

Thats the thing - when I went (the one thing I can remember today) the cocktail hour was NOT in the area right outside the room - I remember this because it makes no sense. It works for me anyway because I'm getting married at WM so the cocktail hour is right next to the ceremony location but otherwise I don't get it. I don't care really because the whole place is beautiful IMO.

Tracyg - I wanted the conservatory if it rains. It is so nice there. I am a Saturday night wedding though and the restaurant is opened so they said no. But I am with you keeping all fingers crossed for beautiful 2004 weather!!! I want to be outside with the peacocks!!!!

another WM question (for those with ceremonies at the hall) --- have any of you asked about their 'throwing policies' Like what can we throw after the ceremony? are there restrictions, especially if its indoors. I forgot to ask.

Seriously, for the psycho bride that most of my friends think I am, I didn't ask any of these questions!!! I have to write a list of things I forgot to ask and call. I have no idea if you can throw stuff. I'm going to ask one of my friends who was there for a wedding last year.
