Anxiety

Anxiety

I booked my RH at the VYC. I thought that once I was booked I would feel a little more relieved, but now I feel extra nervous - anxietyish...
I was under the assuption that when u booked a RH it will be happy and joyous. Now I am having emotions that I did not pick the right place.

What am I going through

I have the room downstairs at the VYC because I liked the fact that my room had a balcony outside, so people can enjoy the view and get air. I also have the room next door the Hemingway for CH. I am worried that the CH room is to small. I expect 160 - 175 people attending. The Banquet Manager assured me that the CH room was sufficient. I was also concerned that the dance floor was a little small. I thought about all of this after I booked - I think that I am justdriving myself crazy..because I was not worried when I visited the place..

Am I just being difficult because I want to makesure that the day and place is perfect

Has anyone been to a wedding at the VYC with the rooms downstairs..

Was the CR over crowded..

I have been. The CH room was fine - my friend got married there in July. Also, you're having a late Sept. wedding, so, most likely, you will be able to use the outside part. There are a few tables out there, so people can also go outside during CH.

I think you'll be fine.

My friend that got married there is on here, flutterbye922, if you want to check her album for pics.

I went to a wedding there last September and the downstairs room for CH was big enough. My cousin had over 200 people at her wedding. I think she had the upstairs room for her reception though.

Re: Anxiety

I went to a wedding there in Aug. This wedding was about 300 so the cocktail hour was outside and the Dinner upstairs.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The downstairs is a good size.

I did go to a wedding there years ago in the downstairs room (it wasn't VYC at the time) and it was definately big enough.

If you are that unsure call and go see it again. Ask to go at off time and ask them to set the room for the max amount of people you will have so you can see it for yourself.

ETA: Sorry the cocktail hour was downstairs and outside.

Once your 'locked In' its normal to feel anxienty and have second guesses about your decision. Dont worry - everything will work out fine!!

i was just about to say this - i dont know anything about your hall so i cant help you out there

but, we booked our hall on our anniversary and then went out to dinner after - well, I was the cheapest date ever. . . I felt sick to my stomach the whole time and barely touched any food. . . . FH was the same way

it is perfectly normal - when else would you promise to pay THAT much money in one day!!!!

I was the same way.
Just having the contract in our hands and seeing the numbers in black and white almost gave me a panic attack.
I will get better - no worries!

i've felt that way too.. even though i know when me and FH were out our RH we loved it .. i was afraid maybe we were to impulsive or maybe i'd regret it because of 1,000 different things. But when it comes down to it.. i realize that we picked it for a reason... we love it.. It's just the thought of being officially booked and not being able to go back now... i think that just makes you second guess yourself and start saying what if...
Don't worry .. it'll all work out fine.

i agree - i think i feel that way about every decision that we've made so far regarding the wedding......i t hink there will always be 'what ifs'........but i try not to think about it too much - when i see pictures from my photographer thats when i know i made the right choice, or when i see other girls reviews that had weddings at my RH, then im like I am soo glad i picked JT..... i think its normal to second guess and worry - so dont worry to much!

Don't worry! I'm sure it'll be fine. And if you're like FH and I...you're overly *nal so what we did is we went back to the reception location with a tape measure and actually measured EVERYTHING and sketched out a drawing of the room and put all the measurements on it...

Re: Anxiety

i have been through simular freak outs!!!

my RH only fits between 200 & 220 ppl & we have about 230 on the invite list.... so my fear is that everyone will show up to our wedding & be squished

even tho i have posted SOOOOOOO many threads about this subject & everyone always reassures me that not everyone shows up at your wedding... but WHAT IF always goes through my mind lol

i have just learned to deal with it b/c its too late to change our RH now and get a bigger place... plus we dont have the $$$$ b/c all of the halls are sooooo expensive for a night wedding

so dont worry - your freak outs are TOTALLY NORMAL haha everyone has them!
