Okay things I found out today that made me anxious and I need your feedback on it! Even though my fiance is not worried about anything and both our Moms and my aunt said everything is all FINE..i still feel weird.
...I just found out that my RH:
1 - Does not really have rehearsals (I am getting married at the RH too) They said that the bridal party and groom can practice (without me) and go over everything an hour before the actual ceremony on that day! they said its no biggie and everything will fall into place fine.
2- no receiving line - it will take too much time. i know its more of a church thing but i thought it would be nice. : o/
hmm i think thats it..lol i felt like it would be more stuff until i typed it.. hmm so that's okay right?
thanks!

that's interesting...i didn't know that and i'm getting married at jericho terrace as well. i guess i didn't even think about it. it's not unusual. my brother got married at the fountainhead in new rochelle and i remember we also rehearsed right before the actual ceremony. everything went fine. however, i will be having three kids in my wedding party, so don't know how that's going to go. will have to find out more about that.

Re: anxious
My good friend got married at Oheka, and we did the same thing with the rehearsal that day. It was fine...most of us had been in a wedding anyway! If you are a little worried as to how it all will go, then maybe you can go there during that week and walk through it with the BM...that way you will be sure that it will be coordinated the way you would like. I don't remember if my friend had a receiving line, but she made the rounds during cocktail hour.

Re: anxious
I got married at the RH too. We were not able to have a rehearsal before the wedding day, and we chose not to have a receiving line.
The lack of a formal day before rehearsal did not affect the ceremony in the least. Most people have either been to a wedding or participated in one before, so they know what to do. All they need are some minor instructions.
As for the receiving line, it just was not feasible since everyone was headed to the cocktail hour, I don't think anyone missed it. We greeted all of our guests at their tables during the reception.

My RH doesn't have rehearsals either, I found out. They don't want us to do a walk through an hour before, either. I worry, though, and my bridal party is mostly kids--I'm older and didn't want to put my friends through it--so we're going to have a quick rehearsal at someone's house a day or so before. I just want the kids to know what to do. They're not little kids, the youngest is seven, but, I think this is better. On my wedding day, they'll know who is first, how fast to walk, that sort of thing. It's just safer. Heh.
