Rina.. I haven't officically books yet.. but I am looking towards booking Chateau Briand.

So long as I book the hall I want and the band and Church I want- I'm happy. Videographer and photographer are also very important to me, but there are so many great one's out there that I'm not so worried.
I've narrowed my list to a few halls (in no particular order):
1)Russo's on the Bay
2)Floral Terrace
3)Girogio's
4)Chateau Briand
5)Villa Lombardi's
6)Watermill

I initially had 23. Looking at 23 halls would definitely take about 2 yrs. Lol. I can't wait to start looking.

Do you think that it would be cheaper to book the hall now for a 2007 wedding? I would think so. What do you think?

I think so because they can raise the rates so if you book now, you get the rates for this year.

Okay I have already booked at the Miller Place Inn. My min is 125 for a friday night. I looked at I think seven halls in total before deciding. It really depends on where you go hwen it comes to cheaper pricing for booking earlier. Giorgio's, Villa Lombardi's seemed to already have pricing for 2007, they have some chart that they look at iwth the pricing on it. Miller Place on the other hand hadn't done their pricing for 2007 yet so we got 2006 pricing. I did want to check out watermill, but we were told they only perform ceremonies on saturday.

Hmm I wonder if the Miller Place Inn min on a Saturday night would be about the same. If you don't mind me asking, about how much are you paying pp. You can FM me if you don't want to post it. I got a quote from East Wind and I want to see if it's within the same range.

65+ pp I didnt even ask for a sat, plus I see your planning may so I am sure the pricing may be a little more.

Inc gratuity? Wow, I am sure the price will be more but I guess I'm planning it to be aroung 100 or so. That's a great price!

Re: Any 2007 Brides??

not including grat or tax. I got a price for villa and giorgio for like 90-100 for a friday or sunday night.

Wow, so I'm sure a Saturday night would be so out of my budget!

I tried to call Miller Place Inn but I was told to call back:(

really, when was this?? Thats really odd, because when we were booking I felt kinda retarded because I was booking so far in advance, but she did say that she already had some people looking for 2007. I think the place is awesome, you should definitely call again.

I'm so excited to see all of these 2007 brides. I was starting to think I was the only one. I guess we should try to keep this thread alive until we get our own section

ah I cant wait. I really can't wait to start doing all that other planning, like looking for a dress:) It definitely feels like theres so much time to go, I sometimes wish that I could move it up sooner.

Re: Any 2007 Brides??

lol I feel that way too. I've begun to look for my dress though it's not out yet so I'm told. I am going to look for it again next month.

Darn I can't post the pic of it. It's listed under my name though if you want to take a look

Re: Any 2007 Brides??

aww its so pretty. When we first got engaged, I told everyone we would wait until after I grad in May before doing any planning, because I didnt want it to interfere with my school. Unfortunately for me that didn't work, because I had so much time on my hands btwn semesters. We decided to look at sites and then now that thats booked I can't stop looking at stuff. I want to go and book other stuff, but I think its way to early.

Re: Any 2007 Brides??

Well I don't think it's too early for somethings. I've talked at the showcases and they said I could go down there, It's nice to know how much they want and when. It makes the planning that much easier.

I was thinking of booking the limo, dj, photographer/video, hall and leaving the rest until next year.

I wonder how many more posts are needed!
