Any bride having their wedding at the Stuart Thomas Manor?

I'll be having my reception there on Friday, July 5, 2013. Stuart Thomas Manor is very affordable. They seemed to have changed Banquet Managers. Michele Davis was assisting me and my FH, but now it's Jadana. Michele had given my really good discounts with their chocolate fountain, sashes, and top shelf liquor. Nonetheless, after she left a couple of weeks ago, management doesn't seem to be honoring her discounts. Actually, they wanted to charge me and my FH more for top shelf liquor per person!!! The only discount that we received was the chocolate fountain at the same rate that Michele quoted us. Also, STM wanted to charge $1.00 more per sash as compared to Michele's quote. So far I am somewhat disappointed with their service.

In addition, on August 31, 2012, my FH and I went to place our deposit for our wedding date and the person helping us had no idea of what she was doing. She couldn't even give us a contract!!! I hope that things improve with their service soon, otherwise my FH and I will look elsewhere. Please be aware of possible changes in pricing. Good luck!!!

Re: Any bride having their wedding at the Stuart Thomas Manor?

Really? i was just wondering cause i wanted to know how the place looked when it was really nice and set up. For now, I am being helped by Judy levine, and so far she is willing to throw things in and she is considerate because she knows am working on a tight budget...i'm not really sure if its possible to change with someone, i dont know if you would like to give it a shot with Levine. However, thanks for the advice, i will definitely be aware and Good Luck for both of you and no matter what, i know you will enjoy your special day! Blessings to both of you!

crashing

my FH and I went to a wedding there last year.
i am not sure how many people they had, but the cocktail hour room was way too small.
the ballroom was fine though- and we thought the food was good at both the cocktail hour, as well as main course.

Re: Any bride having their wedding at the Stuart Thomas Manor?

Hi Jesmo:

I contacted Stuart Thomas Manor about my wedding. They stated that a future bride came in and mentioned my name and that I had spoke about them negatively on a wedding website. Was that you? I was assuming so because this is the only website where I have used a chat forum in reference to my personal wedding.

Stuart Thomas Manor is blaming me for losing your business. Please let me know what happened. I am very, very upset about this. I had spoken with Judy today and she had mentioned this to me. Honestly, Judy was very upset. What I had mentioned in my chat was to be aware of pricing. I didn't realize that they were under new pricing until Jadana explained it to me, however, I still felt as though they should had honored what was originally said.

Either way please inform me of why you didn't chose Stuart Thomas Manor. I had explained to Judy that it couldn't had been solely on my opinion and you had probably considered other options. Judy did mention that you used my real name, but I use an alias on this website.

I am not trying to cause drama. I just had assumed the person was you because my original post was in response to yours. I apologize if it wasn't you.

You are right. I just didn't think that someone would make something like that up. That's a good point.

if they said someone said it then that's probably how they heard. and if they are going online and sneaking around for reviews then that's too bad if they find something they don't like.
