any girls plan on just polishing your own nails? i'm talking no tips...no wraps, no nothing....just your straight up nail.
i havent had nails in yearrrrsss..i hate them and i dont want to put them in because then i have to keep them for our HM also.
im just afraid the polish might chip if its just on my nail.
anyone keeping their own or past brides...if you did this..how did it hold up?

My nails were really short and terrible 2 weeks before the wedding so I got tips. I hated them..The day before my wedding i bit all of them off and just got my own done. They came beautiful...they didnt chip and they looked great in the pics.

I juust had nails put back on a few weeks ago. I haven't had them in yearsssssss. My real nails **** so I wanted to have them looking somewhat decent for all of the weddings I have this year.
If you want your own nails go for it. Just get them done the day before and I'm sure the polish won't chip.

I didnt get tips or anything...i used my own nails and was so glad I did! I tried a gel manicure two weeks before and it was horrible..i don't recommend it personally. I got my nails done just before the rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding and they were fine! To me it wasnt worth damaging my nails for years in order to have tips on...and it was cheaper lol

I cannot stand fake nails on me. It just doesn't feel right. A nice french manicure and no work or scrubbing dishes!

I am having my natural nails and they are not going to be very long. I'm not very good with long nails and I don't really like the way they look on me. I have long fingers as it is and I don't want to make them any longer LOL

I wear tips....I love the way my nails grow, however I'm a bitter from time to time...I keep the nice and short though..I'd probably chew all of the off the week before the wedding LOL

I've never worn tips before... I just got a regular french mani the day before the wedding and it was fine, no chips at all!
In fact it didn't start chipping til we were on the HM.

I had my nails wrapped and filled in for years. When I got engaged I stopped- I figured $50 a month can go elsewhere. I probably will let my nails grow out and then get them wrapped for my wedding

I have long nails and always keep them nice and plan on getting a french manicure.
But I am going to get french manicures for about 2 weeks before to find out how long it will last. Or how much damage I might do

I had my real nails and it was fine. It's not like anyone lets you carry/lift/touch anything when you're in your dress! I got them polished right before the rehearsal dinner and they were fine for a few days with the top coat.

I'll be using my real nails and getting my regular manicure the day before the wedding. My nails are in good shape right now and I'm be getting weekly manicures up until the wedding to make sure they stay that way!
