1. Yes I had a food tasting and it was amazing! I went with FH, FMIL, my dad and step-mom.

2. I chose the Davinci Room because I love the size and we have big families so I didn't want to be limited. but i also wanted the Europa for cocktail with the outside, and the only way i can have both is a twilight on a sunday! So i chose the holiday weekend in january (Martin Luther King day).

3. I love that during cocktail I can have a pianist rotating while playing piano.
I love that the cocktail hour is large enough that everyone can have a seat.
I love that they throw in a free hotel night for each bride and groom.
I love that there is a hotel right next door for my OOT guests. I love that it's near parkways so ppl traveling far can get there easily.
I absolutely love the feeling you get when you walk into the venue! The staircase, the elegant decorations.
I love that they give the guests 6 options for dinner!!! 6!! So everyone will be delighted.
I love that they have a photo studio room so we can take photos of the bridal party.

Theres more---let me know if you have any more specific questions.

I am having the cocktail room with the wrap around bar-some rooms you have the cocktail hour in this corridor area. The piana is in the bar/lounge. I worked with tom also hes the GM so your def working witht the best!

I love the idea of the grand entrance also but FH is shy so he was like uhhh no sry. But I wanted it !!! lol. So we compromised on the big room (DaVinci)

I tasted 3 dishes, I had the chateau briand steak, the chix and the salmon. all of them were great! I didn't ask about the cake tasting...but i'll find out.

The outside area is soooo beautiful! I'm glad your using it, it definitely has that Miami feel to it.

have you looked at any other venues?

ok so there is more than one cocktail hour.. when i go back will look more and ask about the piano bc i want that!!!LOL but the cocktail room i chose is best bc its right next to the outdoor and i want the food and stations inside just the guests to be able to mingle outside....

when is ur wedding? and how many guests more or less?

we only saw 2 but I would like to see 3 or 4 more..

which ones did u see?

I loved VYC it was beautiful but it was hike for a lot of my family members, and it was a little difficult to find for myself and i could only imagine how difficult it would be for my older relatives. Plus I am having a winter wedding and if it snowed....the roads to the VYC may not be plowed since it's not on a main road. CLM was amazing also, I loved their large room with the windows...but FSIL got married there so we decided to choose a different place even though it was amazing as well.

I haggled with the guarantee also...I'm definitely having over 200 ppl, but in the back of my mind, i said what if a huge blizard is scheduled for that day and ppl back out...so i went from 175 to 125. i told them 125 or no deal. so they switched it.
