Re: any december weddings out there?
As far as colors go, I am thinking either wine or dark grey bridesmaid dresses...

Re: any december weddings out there?
i'm torn between platinum or a smoky royal blue for the dresses. i really want the blue, but i also want red flowers and with those two and my white dress im worried it will look like a 4th of july wedding instead of a christmas wedding. what do you guys think? also, do you have an indoor location set up for pictures if its bad weather?

Re: any december weddings out there?
I love platinum!
I am so worried about the weather. IT has either snowed or rain the past 3 New YAers Eves. And my church is like a min- St.Patricks Cathedral so we are taking pic there and at the hall
Where is your rceeption?

Re: any december weddings out there?
were getting married at st. johns in center moriches, reception at med manor in patchogue. were taking pictures at the church and hall too, but wanted another place for more scenery. i want outdoor pictures with snow on the ground, but i dont want it to be snowing or for the snow on the ground to be dirty (not too much like bridezilla ). a photographer told us about some kind of park with a gazeebo in patchogue, but were not booking her and i would feel horrible calling her to ask for more information about the park and still not booking her.

Re: any december weddings out there?
my bm are wearing platinum! All red roses on tall candleoperas for the center pieces, platinum colored ornaments on silver stands for each couple at the table for the favors, Im doing the votive candles with their names on them at each place setting, I bought a chrystal tree that stands about 4 feet last xmas at fortunoff that will be in the cocktail room with the place cards with their table numbers hanging off the branches. So far for the New Years part, I think Im doing a balloon drop and having the band play a swing version of the 'New Years' song (cant spell Allangsigh). I like your noise maker idea but I allready have the candles. I have to think about how Im going to incorporate them into the table settings. I also am going to have a table on each side of the room set up in between the guest tables with a champagne bucket with roses around it and glasses to give it a New Years Eve look. Help your self champagne all night! Still trying to come up with ideas. Its harder than I thought!

Re: any december weddings out there?
Thanks for the noisemaker info. I am getting married at The Glen Island and got my BM dresses(Black) and my dress so far. We booked a hummer limo DJ, and blocked hotel rooms.
As for my 2 junior bridesmiads, I am having trouble finding black dresses for them. I am in Florida right now visiting them and have not found anything. I cant put them in white or ivory either because my dress is an oyster color. We even went to 1 dressmaker and she wanted $180 to make one dress.

Re: any december weddings out there?
here are some sites
http://www.newyearfavors.com/bs-horns.html
this one is 100 noise makers for 14.50
as you go down the page there are other colors and styles we got the silver and black to go with our theme
here are some hats these are a little expensive but to get an idea http://www.newyearfavors.com/bs-hats.html they have an assorted 50 ct for 16.50 as your scroll down.
heres somemore websites couldnt find anything on ebay i bought mine right after new years.
what i did was go to www.dogpile.com and typed in noisemakers and when through the websites to find the cheapest you can do this with newyears eve hats or look up party hats.
these have your wedding date and name pritned on the noisemaker
heres one for hats http://www.partycheap.com/show_catalog.asp?theme=NEW+YEARS&category=Hats
i also got tiaras for the women too
