Any first time homebuyers, Need info.

I have never bought a house obviously I don't even know where to begin. Does anyone have the patience to give me a step by step? What happens if your credit isn't the greatest can you still get a mortgage somehow? How do you find out what you need to put down(I've heard it's about 10-20%)? See I need help!

Any would be appreciated please FM.

Re: Any first time homebuyers, Need info.

First step we did was to get pre-approved for a mortgage. We started calling around to banks and looking online. Once you get a pre-approved certificate start looking. If you put a bid on a place and win it, contact a real estate lawyer and they should be able to walk you through the rest. My husband has a great lawyer so it was pretty simple after that. Typically you are required to put 10% down.

Any other questions, feel free to FM me!
