Any good cooks?
I have a bunch of leftover taco meat from saturday, and I was thinking of making sloppy joes for dinner tonight with it. I'm thinking of adding either ketchup or a small can of tomato sauce. Would this make a good sloppy joe recipe? (I've never made sloppy joes before, so I'm not sure how this would taste, but it sounded easy enough to me!)Thanks!

Re: Any good cooks?
I would use it to make a mexican fritata (fancy for Omelet)..serve it with hashbrowns flavored with cumin & cayenne.

Re: Any good cooks?
DO NOT use ketchup, that is def not for sloppy joes. Use regular tomatore sauce. If you want to do it quick just buy the can of Sloppy Joe sauce and add it to the meat.

Re: Any good cooks?
Did you use any taco seasoning in it? If you didn't I would just add some spaghetti sauce and that would make meat sauce for pasta.

Check out allrecipes.com! I love that website, it has tons of recipes with reviews!I would personally just experiment with spices, which is mostly what I do. I love spicy food, and tend to be pretty proud of my chili! So that's what I'd make if I had some ground meat.... MMmm... chili......

Re: Any good cooks?
Do you have leftover plain chop meat or leftover taco meat (with seasoning mixed in).If it already has taco seasoning, I wouldn't add tomato sauce to it. Use it for nachos or on hot dogs or serve over rice with shredded cheddar or serve over lettuce/tomato/etc. as taco salad.
If it's just chop meat left over, get a can of that Manwich stuff for sloppy joes. It's much easier (and thicker) than making them from scratch with a can of tomato sauce.
