I'm starting the horrible task of finding a florist. Does anyone happen to know of a great florist? I want someone who will give his/her opinions and not just say, 'What ever you want sweety' Please Help if you can!!

Re: Any good Florists?
I booked Flower Michele --- John was very receptive to what I liked but was honest enough to tell me when things were out of season and would cost me a fortune to get - he made some great suggestions for me based on what I told him I liked.

Colonial Florist in North Bellmore is wonderful! I've been dealing with Claudio, the owner, and he is a pleasure. He's very talkative, but knows his stuff VERY well and really cares about what he's doing. My sample centerpiece was gorgeous! His number is 516-785-2069.

I am using BURTON'S with a number of other brides on here.... i found that they give you the most for your money they charge one price no matter what type of flower it it is and they charge one price for a high centerpiece and one price for any low centerpiece

Jack & Rose -- they were fantastic. They listened to my ideas and then elaborated on them.

Re: Any good Florists?
Laurie- LA Blossom. Honestly, she saved me from comlete insanity. I really don't know what I would have done if I didn't find her.
And, my family is STILL raving about how large and healthy the roses were. And, none of us can believe how long they lived for!
I still have the roses from my cake in my refrigerator. They look almost the same now as they did when they were on my cake. It's been 25 days since the wedding.

I highly recommend Matthew Robbins of Artfool. His work is all over the place- Today Show, The View, Modern Bride, the covers of Martha Stewart, the knot, etc. Also, he is absolutely the nicest and cutest guy ever!
Here is the link. This is also a great link for pictures. Check out his portfolio.
i found a great one her name is liz and the place is fine designs it is on 112 in coram she has offered so many ideas compared to the first florist i saw who did the whatever you think hon - didnt even tell me all the trouble hydrangia would be - i just hate people who patronize me - grumble - sorry personal rant - lol

Flowers by Brian
I second Flowers by Brian, they are wonderful. They did a beautiful job for my sisters wedding. I can't wait to see my flowers - I am sooo excited! They also do the wedding on 'Regis & Kelly' every year.
