Any Hamlet Willow Creek Girls out there?

Hi - I just booked it - and I am so excited! I just wanted to get a roundup of the other HWC brides there so we can all keep each other in the loop! And if anyone has any new info to share it would totally help!

I was looking into that place...I checked out the Hamlet in Commack which I loved, but big concern over cocktail hour being held in the lobb. Is Willow Creek doing the same?

We asked about that too. It's mainly in the lobby but they said they could have it outside on the 'deck' area. Only problem, people would walk through the ballroom and they would put up partitions so your guests can't see the room. I'm not sure how that would look.

I might be missing something, but what are your concerns about the cocktail hour being in the lobby?? The lobby looks huge!

Wow! That'a alot of money! We would've never been able to afford it! I wonder what the price is now. We booked last Jan also. I think FI and I will have to do a drive by this weekend

i think the lobby is going to be gorgeous! it has a fireplace and beautiful tiles and mirrors. its very elegant. so the fact that weather wont ruin my cocktail hour is such a relief. barbara said she will decide that morning how they will set up the cocktail hour and will call your MOH to confirm

yet another hamlet willow creek girl here! it's been so strange trying to plan without really knowing how everything is going to look inside. but thanks for posting some pictures so i can at least see whats going on the outside!

How much are you ladies pay per person? How hard was it to book a hall without tasting the food, not seeing the place and not knowing the reputation. I saw pictures of it on this website and it looks like it going to be gorgeous. But im a little hesitant not knowing everything. Any advice please.

I had no problem at all... the hamlet has a great reputation over all and they are taking the chef from the hamlet in hauppauge, so if you really wanted a tasting I guess you can have one that way... we will do one closer to our date to help pick our menu.

When we booked the current price range was 75-80 pp

it was the same thing for me. they had such a good reputation and after meeting with barbara, the catering manager, i felt confident that this place would be amazing.

My FH was very hesitant so Barbara would not let us sign unless he was comfortable. She told us to go check out the Areca in the Hamlet of Old Oyster Bay, right off the LIE. We called took the tour and ate at the restaurant. He was sold after that. The detail of the room was amazing, the food out of this world. Its an option if your hesitant... take a look at one of their other facilities to get an idea of how they do things and what detail they put into it.

MOH's bf is doing electrical work at the Hamlet Willow Creek. He said it looks magnificent. He just called me. He said that its still all under construction however the woodwork is gorgeous and that 'I have nothing to worry about- the place will be beautiful'

So I feel good! :)

Okay, so I kinda annoyed at the moment. I have seen advertisements for HWC and have even checked out their website. When you go to their website a little pop up add comes up saying how they have special pre opening pricing for your special day. Well my fiance called today to schedule a meeting and the lady told him he had to call back in a month because they have not moved in yet. I saw this topic on the boards earlier in the day and am asking myself how did you guys book the place already and yet they are telling us we have to wait a month before even setting a time to meet with someone. I just think it is extremely odd and poor business.

That's weird because I actually called them yesterday
too and I spoke w/Barbara and she said that her office is
right next door to it and if I wanted I could come by over the
weekend and I could see the outside of the place and some pictures of what the inside will look like.
Did he speak to Barbara?

Hello girls, I also am getting married at HWC. My wedding is 10/1/05. We booked it early last year and have loved watching the progress. I am so excited to see what it looks like inside. I have tons of pics that I've been taking through the months. The most recent pics are a few weeks ago from the back where the cocktail hour can be held and also of the lake and golf course. Let me know if you want them posted.
