Any help for this Brooklyn Bride?
Hi LI brides! My fiance and I are both in Brooklyn. We would like to find a venue in Long island that is about 50 miles within Brooklyn (give or take). We have about 100 people for the wedding, and preferably would like a venue to do one wedding at a time. Our budget max is around $150 per person for Sundays any month May-Sept.
I know some of the grand halls have guest minimums, so this makes our search somewhat more difficult.
The venues in LI we have already visited are De Seversky Mansion and Inn at New Hyde Park.
De Seversky was beautiful but very expensive. They quoted us $160 for Sundays plus a $3500 'site fee' (*** is that about even), as well as a 21% fee. Also they included NOTHING in that price either. No cake, no up-lighting, no decorations of any kind. So De Seversky is out because in the end it would equal to over $200 per person. The only good part was that you had the entire mansion to yourself the entire day!
Inn at New Hyde Park was okay, not on the nicest street but they offered $150 for Sundays during May. They also included a lot of stuff like cake, up-lighting and no 21% fee. I've read reviews that their food wasn't that great. And also we were told another party might be starting during our reception time.
I would like to visit other venues that do 100 guest weddings on Sundays and do them 1 at a time, while still remaining in our $150 pp budget. (If that's even possible)
Any help would be extremely appreciated as I'm ready to pull my hair out from this search.

Have you looked into Brooklyn Venues? Liberty Warehouse is BEAUTIFUL on the water, it has a more rustic vintage vibe to it.In Long Island try Russo's on the Bay (Howard Beach) , Floral Terrace, Sand Castle, Coral House, Westbury Manor. I am trying to think of the ones closer in Nassau County.

Try Fox Hollow.. not one wedding at a time, but has that feel.. you'll see if you go there. Everything is very separate and your party would definitely fit well in the Winter Garden room. We're paying under $130 for a Friday in August so I'd imagine around the same in June for Sunday. It'll be hard to find a venue with such a small minimum # of guests that does only one wedding at a time. There are a few in suffolk but IDK if you want to go out that far.. Lombari's on the Bay (Patchogue), Miller Place Inn, a few of the Lessing's Venues.

Coral house does more than one wedding at a time but they are in your price range.Russo's on the bay would be a nice option for you that's close to me in Howard Beach.
Try also looking at the Bridgeview Yacht Club my friends are getting married on a Sunday this April wedding is from 2-8 they got an amazing price - it's on the water - one wedding at a time in Island Park.

Chateau at Coindre Hall is also gorgeous, similar feel to De Seversky with the mansion vibe and one wedding at a time. They're catered by Lessings too so you know the food is good.

I know the lofts and places in BK are ridiculously expensive but for a Sunday wedding they may work with your budget. I checked them out for my wedding but it was just far too expnesive for us. $150/pp on a Sunday is alot! I'm pretty sure you will find better prices then that. Check the vendor list on here (up on top on the search bar). You can filter it and just do a search with venues that only have one event at a time. Good Luck hun, from a Queens Bride :)

I am a brooklyn bride as well! where in brooklyn do you live? When i was looking for brooklyn venues, I found that they were either really expensive, I didn't meet the minimum or they were really cheap and not very nice. We are having about a 100 people. I vote for fox hollow winter garden! Its about an hour away from my apartment and is absolutely amazing! The staff is wonderful, the winter garden room is beautiful, the food is great! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you everyone so much for all your suggestions. @intelsana we live in Bay Ridge. I kind of dismissed all of Brooklyn because they are either very expensive, or don't have a nice outdoor ceremony area, or are just plain crappy.@rcotter90 I just called fox hollow as per your suggestion. I tried to schedule a tour for this Saturday but they were all booked up for when we needed. Too bad, I guess I'll try for another day.
I'm starting to think it's impossible to find a decent venue that is not dated and has good food as well.

Probably nothing like De Seversky but The Riviera is amazing, way below your budget, they do one wedding at a time and should be able to do a 100 person minimum on a Sunday!

Re: Any help for this Brooklyn Bride?
I'm getting married at Riviera in Massapequa this October and my price for a Saturday afternoon wedding is right around $100 per person. Not sure the exact amount it came to, and that's after the taxes and 20% administration fee. Their max guest count is over 200 (220 or 240 I think it was) but I've been told that anything over 200 is just too much for the space. I went to their bridal show last month and they had tables set up for about 100 (I think) and it was a nice amount- not too sparse and not too crowded. They only do 1 event at a time (though can be 2 per day- not sure about their times on Sundays). It's easy to get to from Southern State Parkway. It's on the water. And frankly, I found it on this website and couldn't find a bad review anywhere!
