Re: Any hotels near the Coral House?
Jen we are getting married at the Coral House also. I looked into a lot of hotels in the area and none of them had any kind of bars in them (Which is big for our guests). I even checked the Holiday Inn in Rockville Center and they did not have a bar, but if I remember correctly they were 149.00 per night with the blocked rooms. We ended up going with the Marriott in Uniondale, whcih I think is the same price but they have the bar there so that is what we went with. Good Luck !!

Re: Any hotels near the Coral House?
DecBride02.I too am getting married at Coral House in September.
I live in the bronx, and I was thinking of possibly spending the night at one of the hotels in the area.
So that I can be close to Coral house.
I don't need anything too fancy.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks.

Re: Any hotels near the Coral House?
I am getting married in Rockville center which is very close to the coral house. My guests are staying at the Marriott in Uniondale too. We looked into the holiday inn and the sunrise motor lodge in the area but my mom thought the rooms were too musty. There is also the new red roof in near the mall but if you are going to go that far you might as well go to the marriott.I grew up in the area so I know what is around there if you have any other questions

Re: Any hotels near the Coral House?
NRVBRD- I agree with abc7077, after looking around we chose the Marriott as well. It really isn't far at all,a dn it is a nicer hoter, with everything that you would need. Good Luck!!

Re: Any hotels near the Coral House?
we only needed 4 rooms and they are all going to book under the AARP rate which was cheaper, they are an older crowd. I don't think I had to put any money down. I am in the middle of arranging it so I will know more lateryou can go to the marriott website and look up the location in uniondale new york, I would imagine they have info there, I found about the aarp rates there.

Re: Any hotels near the Coral House?
We have already blocked the rooms, and you do not have to put any money down. If I remember correctly they hold the amount of rooms you request for up to 1 month before the date they are needed. You can always ask for extra rooms to be blocked b/c you are not obligated in any way to pay for any rooms that are not used. Anyone using the rooms must book by 1 month before, or depending on the time of year there may not be any available.

Re: Any hotels near the Coral House?
We blocked rooms at the LI Marriot too. I am getting married in Oceaniside and we decided this was the nicest and best price for our guests.I am getting married on Memorial Day weekend so we definately had to block rooms early.
What happens is you can block up to 20 rooms. Once it is a month before your wedding for me it is April 25,th and there are rooms that have not been taken, the Marriot can sell those rooms to the public.
you do have to sign a contract for this though.
Also, what I thought was nice as that since we blocked the rooms we were able to get their upgraded room for my fiancee and myself for our wedding night for the same rate that they quote you. We are paying $159.
They also hads a bridal package room for you and your future husbacnd for 259 which included, late checkout the next day, champagne and fruit in the room and a voucher to stay for a free night on your anniversary. We did not think that was necessary since we will not be getting back to the hotel to the wee hours of the morning.
I worked with Marlo. She was great.
Good Luck!!!
