Any info on Bear Mountain day trip?

DH wants to go to Bear Mountain tomorrow for the day to go hiking. I was wondering if anyone has been there for a day trip. Good? Bad? Comments? Also we'll be taking Audrey with us, so I know we can't go to the restaurants/pool.

Also - this sounds wacky - but are there any snakes up there? I have a horrible horrible snake phobia and I'm terrified that I'll see one if we go hiking.

Your going to go hiking in the rain? Isn't it supposed to rain all weekend?

If it doesn't, you'll always find nature at it's best during hiking. You'll never know for certain what you run into as you go through trails. Just make your DH go ahead of you as noise will deter any animal from coming near you.

I drove thru the area last weekend on Bear Mtn Parkway, and it was beautiful!

Looks like it's gonna rain in the afternoon. So we're gonna try to get there early (leave here around 7am) and stay for a few hours before the rain sets in.

But if it is raining, then no, we won't go. lol.

You should hve fun. My DH and I used to drive around there all the time with friends.
Just make sure you go to the bathroom before hand!
