They say to stop for a second, look around & take it in because it goes so fast!

All the best to you!

-Pee before you get into your dress

-Make sure you reapply your lipstick at least once

-Have at least one bite of everything at your reception

-Dont close your eyes or look down as you are coming down the aisle - take a good look at everyone

-Smile all the time

-Keep your chin up, back straight and your arms away from your body as much as possible for photos

-Make sure you tell your husband how much you love him at the reception

-Tell anyone else important that you love them during the day

-Dance at least 5 songs (preferably more)

Girly Advice - bring powder or plotting papers. After posing for pictures you get a little sweating (even ona chilly day). Do try to re-apply your lipstick (makes your pictures look better).

Try to say at least two words to everyone but not too many that you are stuck in conversation and not enjoying your day. Dance and party and be happy. Have someone to save you from that aunt or uncle or pesky neighbor who hogs you into a conversation which seems like an eternity!

Tell you photographer to make sure he gets pictures of the details. I am really upset at that. I didn't get enough pictures of some of the little things. They are on my video but when I show of fmy pictures I like to show off all my hard word for making things special.

Relax and enjoy. Don't let small stuff bother you.

PS It is fine to use the bride card. People offered to get me drinks, make me a plate of food at the cokctail hour etc. Normally I feel bad (I am super independent)..but hey when they are doing that you have more time to enjoy your day.

Oh yeah....Try to EAT. Make the time. I ate my entree and was so happy about that. I was just upset because I didn't get to taste the salad or much at the cocktail hour (besides the plate someone made for me..which wasn't much).

Make sure your Coodinator or Maitre'd know who they should speak to regarding any problems or changes. It shouldn't be you & or your FH, you guys should not think about or worry about anything!

Don't ask anyone what time it is.........just enjoy.

Make sure your Best Man & MOH are clear on their day of responsibilties(I handed out a things to do list @ Rehearsal)

Eat & Dance & spend time with your hubby. Try to say hello to everyone.

Re-confirm with every vendor this week, even if you've spoken to them recently.

Smile, it's your day

Take a deep breath. Look around and pat yourself on the back for what a wonderful day you planned. Sneak away for a few minutes to have have along with your new husband. If you eat check your breath afterwards, you will be talking to a lot of people on your wedding day (LOL...I just made that one up, I dont know where it came from)

What everyone else said and do not allow more then a couple of feet between you and your husband. You would be surprised at how long it can take to get back together when you get seperated.

Make sure your photographer has your must take picture lists and ask appropriate people to help round up and KEEP TOGETHER familes for group shots.

And you this one...

HAVE FUN

Go to your cocktail hour. It gives you the time to greet your guests then...so you have more time to dance later.

I wasn't going to do this and DH convinced me at the last minute. Best decision I made...most of my guests came to the church so they had already seen my 'grand entrace' anyway!

If you wear contacts, bring an extra pair and eyedrops for dry eyes.

Don't go an arms distance away from your husband. You'll never get him back.

Take the time to really look in the mirror and see how beautiful you really are before you leave the room where you got dressed. That's the last time you'll really be able to look at yourself - until you get your pictures back.

Lastly - this advice was given to me 2 days before my wedding and I took it - and was so calm walking down the aisle.

Walk down the aisle like you own it. You are beautiful and everyone is at your wedding because they love you. Don't be nervous - you are going to greet the man of your dreams at the end of the aisle. Hold your head up high and look beautiful!

best of luck!!!

I forgot to add that my photographers got me alone in my house right before we left (and while everyone else waited outside) to take a solo potrait.

I dont like the potrait but she told me to just relax for a second alone because all hell will break loose from now on (in a good way) and she was right. Im glad I got a minute to relax before it started.

Re: Any last minute advice besides...

Get lots of sleep the night before, I tried but I was so excited to sleep, but try!!!! I was exhausted by the end of my day, and yes it's true, it flies by soooooo quickly!

Relax and take it all in, I agree, go to the cocktail hour for a little bit, enough to greet everyone, then sneak off for a little Q.T. w/ your hubby, we sat in our bridal suite and just enjoyed a glass of champagne by ourselves and we were very happy we did.

Enjoy, best of luck, I wish you a lifetime of love & happiness!

-Know that things might and can go wrong and it is OKAY if that happens
-Be in the moment- don't be at your ceremony worried about something at the reception
-My DH and I went into the reception room during our cocktail hour, all alone. We practiced our first dance and it was a wonderful few 'alone' minutes
-Take photos with those that you love like a special aunt or friend. You don't get a 'do-over' day.
-It goes by all too quickly, but I enjoyed every minute of my day. I hope you do too.

Don't let anyone rush you. My sister kept telling me that and I wish I listened to her more. No matter what no one goes anywhere without the BRIDE. Keep that in mind also when ever you want the crowd to go somehwere. Wherever you go everyone will follow (my coordinator taught me that trick)

Re: Any last minute advice besides...

Oh - another thing bring copies of everything - contracts, table arrangements, prayers, contact info etc.

I gave the table arrangements to a friend who checked it out before the reception for me (don't do this yourself!) She checked number of favors, seats and placement of the tables. There was one we didn't like and had moved.

My reader didn't show up and I had a photocopy of the prayer to give to someone else to read. (We had given the original prayer to the original reader the day of the rehearsal dinner). It was pretty funny that day..when someone realized he hadn't showed up everyone was afraid to tell me thinking I would freak. When I found out, I got hysterical laughing! So our original reader got a free dinner and gift and didn't have to perform! I had a copy of all the readings in my tote bag and said give it to anyone who knows how to read! Totally not something to stress over!
